Wondered in this bar late night when looking for Bar Fabrica, which happened to be closed. At first the service seemed a little off, but later we realised it was just very authentically Southern, very chilled and friendly! Also really recommebd sangria, only 3 euro for glass - in town it is same size glass 6 euro :)

On a recommendation from a local, we popped over to Bar El Rincon from Portugal for evening drinks and tapas. The tapas were simple but enjoyable. We especially loved the mussels and the local salted cod fish (but is salty) and the calamari. And the small town of Valencia de Alcantara is a small fun lively town to visit.

We were a small group (10 travelers), but the proprietor opened the restaurant on a day when he was normally closed. We were served numerous courses specializing in game food, and it was delicious. He also treated us to a very special dessert. A tranquil find in a remote place.

Dont expect a five stars, glamorous and posh cutlery but a really tasty local food.We were strongly encouraged by other local to drive a few miles and pay a visit to this restaurant. It s a local bar with a big lounge that works as a restaurant. Staff is friendly and honest. The guy ï¼Emilio?ï¼suggested that we were ordering too much...and he was right.Food was yummy and well done. That's what we ordered:-Spanish omelette with greens ï¼picture attached). Take a look at its height.-Tomatoes and onion salad. Simply delicious!-Salmorejo ï¼never found any place in Spain it wasnt perfectï¼-Gazpacho.-Prueba de Cerdoï¼kinda pork stew...fab! ï¼-Cabrito ï¼young goat s meatï¼Staff must be thanked again. Regarding the price, isnt deer. We were five adults and two children and bill didnt reach 77eurï¼some beers at the arrival were included in the billï¼Tu sum up, if you are by this part of Extremadura near the border with Portugal, it s really worthy to enjoy the local taste at this restaurant. My Five stars rate are only based on the food taste.
