Visited Plasencia in June 2015 and dined at Albero. Ordered the squid rings and the Suckling Pig (Cochinillo). . Took forever for the meal to come out. Squid was salty, pig was dry and old, tasted rancid. No sides offered, no garnish. The bread (white bred rolls) that were brought out before the mains were stale and hard as rock. The only consumable item of the whole dinner experience was the wine. Regret we dined here! Meals are not even fit for a dog. Absolutely terrible. When we complained, waiter blamed the chef (apparently the owner of the place), agreed with us on the poor quality of meals, but did nothing to remedy the situation. Charged full price. We should have just walked away....

Casa Raul is located in an industrial área in the outskirts of Plasencia, parking the car is not a problem. We had the daily menú at 10⬠with a few dishes to choose from as a starter and main course. The Gazpacho was great and service was very quick and efficient. After you finish your dessert you are invited to take the coffee at the adjacent bar or outside in the garden if the wheather allows. It's a good pick if you are on the road in the área and want to have a quick and reasonable lunch.

We visited this restaurant in a group. It is run by two brothers. Mother is in charge in the kitchen. The decor is reserved and impeccable. The service is prompt, friendly and professional. We enjoyed three entrees, the main course, and then dessert. Mother's cooking was excellent, as was the wine. Being a guest I did not pay the bill so cannot comment on the price. Unfortunately I will probably never return to Plasencia, but can heartily recommend this restaurant to anyone fortunate enough to visit this city.

We stayed in Plasencia for two days and had 2 dinners and one breakfast at this small restaurant at the Plaza Mayor. The waiter was very friendly and recommended some great dishes to us. The food was simple but delicious, everything was prepared with fresh ingredients. Their homemade flan was the best we've ever had, in Spain and at home! The menu del dia was just 10 euros (bread and water or wine included).

Excellent fish and meat dishes. The locals eat here and you'll find out way very quickly. The waiters are Quick and professional, but also friendly even is it is really gettng busy. They open for dinner at 8-8.30 PM which is good for non-Spanish. Have some fish, it is truly good!

Early Sunday morning and at Plaza Mayor there was almost nothing open except for "Plaza 30" which had some tourists having breakfast. The place's decoration is very original, after all, here there used to be in times the Casino of Plasencia! For breakfast we had coffee and milk, dark tea and toasts for all with butter and jam (or marmalade as they call it). A very nice moment to cherish.

Tentempie isam at the 2nd place these days and do believe it will get the first one.Everything is well balance at this tapas bar and they excel in some areas.Location (right on the city center), the ambience, the decoration, the service,..All is more than ok...and then the food: all tapas are delicious! We took 8 different tapas and I can not tell you which one was best. It is true that their awarded "retinta" miniburguer is gorgeous, but all remaining tapas are extremely good.I like also their approach: they stick to gourmet tapas only, sime with oriental style. All together at a reasonable price.Good job!Illustration: hamburguesita a la retinta for 4,5â¬Labels: $. 2eat, #tapas, #mustgo
