This restaurant's delectable cuisine might be described as light, fresh, fruity, and imaginative. The menu is a succession of pleasures where each dish has its own personality, while bearing a "family resemblance" with the other dishes as well as local traditions. Expert, friendly service and good wine selections further enhance the experience. This was my second visit, but hopefully not my last!

Restaurant in downtown Hervas, near the famous Jewish quarters, with kitchen and author Extremadura, Extremadura retinto meats grilled, homemade desserts all very elavorados, seasonal cuisine.Recommended by Michelin Guide for northern Extremadura
The 3-course menu of Restaurante El Almirez is the perfect deal for people who like to taste various flavors during a meal, without overeating themselves. The price is 20 Euros, including bread and wine or water. Each course consists of 4 different dishes to choose from, which can also be enjoyed à la carte. The portions are a bit smaller than á la carte, but just as tasty and only half the price. We returned 3 times in one week and enjoyed a great number of very tasty, creative traditional dishes like carpaccio de ternera, esparragos verdes, zorongollo, solomillo de ternera, milhoja de solomillo de iberico, carrillera de iberico, mousse de yogurt con frutos rojos, and a very special sorbete de violetas. We have been eating in two other top-3 Hervás restaurants, but liked El Almirez best.

I went there for lunch on 07.04.09, and had Nardi's tasting menu, together with the restaurants very good 03 Ribera Del Duero.
The restaurant is very good, and the food is presented very nicely - like the rest of Extremadura though, you need to be quite knowledgable about the Spanish language, because noone speaks any English. However at nardi that wasn't a problem - the food was exquitite - so the language barriers were broken down by a great tasting experience.
The restaurant, located in a small picturesque village in Spain, isn't very nicely decorated, which is a shame, however their cooking makes it worth a visit. And a measely 36€ for the lunch menu makes it even more astonishing.

We were staying in Hervas at the Hosperedia Valle del Ambroz and decided to seek out a good location to dine. Having walked around Hervas we choose the A Fuego Lento as it seemed attractive with a good localised menu. We enjoyed a lovely meal...MoreHello. Thank you for your review about our restaurant. We are glad that your visit to Hervás so enjoyable. Regards

We came across with this restaurant while walking in the Jewish neighborhood, we didnt know anything about it before, but menu seemed interesting. We were surprised of the quality!! We had black pudding and pine nuts croquettes, "Torta del Casar", "chuletón", puffed pastry ("milhojas") and brownie, all delicious and one of the best diner in my life. Restaurant is very warm and stuff very friendly with good recommendations for wine.
Thanks for surprising us so positively and the wonderful diner.
Attention: sunday evening is closed (we went back again but this time it was, unfortunately, closed)

We were looking for somewhere for a good lunch on a day when many other Hervas restaurants were closed. The dining room felt modern and comfortable. Two set menus were available and a varied A la Carte. We enjoyed the choices from the Menu of the Day - all given a little foodie twist to lift them above the mundane. Service was excellent and a popular choice with others. It seems to be called La Parrilla not Jose Raul Granada, however!

Everything was superb. First, main dishes, alcohol, Service. I couldn't believe my luck. We landed in Caceres for 1 night, on our way from Madrid to Lisbon. Turns out it's a best kept secret I am now telling everyone about. Don't miss. And also, ask...MoreThank you for your opinión. Toda raba.

RESTAURANT Homarus run and Mari Luz Eleuterio Sanchez Martin, offering a wide and varied experience of more than 2 0 years of hospitality in different cities of Spain. Lute and Mari Luz offer from the kitchen to the table itself which serve a close personal attention to diners. We have a Wine Cellar overlooking the client from the same living room. We also have two reserved areas: One for up to 16 people. Another accommodate up to 18 people. Lounge booked with projector and screen for events. A comprehensive forum 96 people
We booked a table at the restaurant because of location, which is not great at all but it's conveniently out of the walls and therefore there is parking space in the street and no traffic jams to get there.
Restaurant was empty so we had a lovely quiet dinner with great service and ambiance. Music was nice and the waiter was available but not overwhelming, which was great. Food was all very good, and dishes are really good size so we barely got to share a dessert.
Worth a visit if you are staying outside the walls, the area is simple and there is nothing to see but you'll find plenty of space to park!

I'm not gonna say much: I can tell, hands down, that this was one of the best restaurant experiences I've had, if not THE best.
I had the 7? 8? course fish/vegetarian menu and it was glorious. It came with organic wine, different juices and infusions, plate of fruits and cheeses, a variety of desserts, at least 6 or 7 different homemade liquor and the largest, most tasty first, second and third course you can ever imagine.
Everything was great about this place: food, ambience, staff (5 stars to all of them!) and the (fixed) price is ridiculously low for what you get. They custom-make your meal according to your preferences or food allergies.
All in all, an experience not to miss.
