This place is 9kms from central Burgos but well worth the cab fare. But if you speak NO Spanish then maybe it isn't for you. But if you can get by, then make the effort as this is the roast baby lamb that locals eat. â¬30 for morcilla, lamb, salad, a bottle of wine, bread, desert, coffee and a liquor. Delicious just doesn't describe it - so have a look at the pictures.

We enjoyed a lovely Saturday evening meal in the upstairs restaurant of this attractive old establishment. I booked by email from the uk having read various reviews. Our waiter, Bartholomew, was helpful and attentive throughout.Fairly expensive, but presentation and the quality of ingredients stood out, as did the taste. Salads and soups excellent. The cordero lechazo was by far the best we have had. And some imaginative and tasty desserts. And looking around, the preparation and presentation of fish dishes owas really well done. A huge wine list region by region. Complementary amuse bouche. Lovely coffee.Highly recommended.

This is a fantastic family restaurant with almost 50 years of history. Two of the founder's sons work at the restaurant giving it a very personalized service even though it is a big restaurant. It is " far away " from City Center. About one hour walk or 10 minutes by Taxi. The food was delicious and the service was great even though the place was packed to capacity. We went on Sunday and you could tell that most people were from Burgos. Not a tourist trap at all and reasonable priced.Do not miss this one while in Burgos.
