We eat here one evening. It is a family run restaurant. The food is good, especially the fish, but nothing spectacular and the set up fairly small. There are few accompaniments with the meals so going with a pasta based dish is a good option. The service is a bit rushed, their English is poor so if you have any allergies you need to be careful. The ambience is buzzy but the chairs not that comfortable tables not very big and its all a bit cramped. There is a very small bar but no nice area outside for pre-dinner drinks. I think this would be better for lunch than dinner, depending on your expectations.

We loved this local establishment. Their fish was always very fresh, and their wood fired pizzas delicious. Excellent experience with nice outdoor or indoor seating. Leave room for their tiramisu dessert.

The fish we ordered was very nice spoilt by the fact that the kitchen couldnât get their act together. Our side dishes arrived after we had finished. They did apologise but a restaurant needs to be able to work out how long it will take to cook all the elements of a meal. A 15 minute gap is no good.

Expansive Restaurant Offering Internal And External Dining Areas Serving Traditional Pugliese Cuisine.friendly Staff And Full Tummies.
We visited this restaurant three times in 2 weeks and the food is always excellent. Anti pasti is huge in quantity and great in quality. Pizza is very crunchy and tasteful. Pasta dishes are al dente as they should be . Wine is locally sourced mostly but also bottled wines from all over Italy are available. Very family friendly place as they took great care of our 2 yr old and 2 month old. Owner Michele is a real gem of a host. Highly recommended!

Went here on a Saturday night on the recommendation of the Masseria where we were staying and that was probably why we ignored the signs of the impending ripoff. The restaurant was empty and we were promptly seated. A tray with the local seafood selection was presented but heavy emphasis was placed on the Scorpion Fish - Scorfano - and were repeatedly encouraged to try that as it was their recommendation - in hindsight no one with any sense would order it let alone pay an exorbitant price for it. But gullible us agreed. A primo piatto of raw vegetables was presented to us - we had not ordered it - and assumed stupidly that this was complimentary. Nope! We were charged for it in spite of not ordering it at Euro 10. The ârecommendationâ was even worse. The fish was presented very elegantly on a platter already cut up and consisted of mainly bones, fins, exoskeleton and scales. The fish meat barely made up 3 tablespoons - and that was full of fine bones that one had to pluck out of your mouth. All this inedible muck came at Euro 49.50! We left hurriedly having paid 85 Euros. This place has no shame. Avoid at all costs.

On what was once the beach of a small fishing village, San Velletri, today there is a new gastronomic experience: traditional ingredients cleverly combined with innovative flavors.
We stopped for lunch here on our bicycle tour of Puglia. The service was excellent and the food even better. I had pasta with mussels and seafood and wine. The ambience was gentle and relaxing with a lovely view of the sea and we could park our bikes just outside. The owner was charming and kindly gave us some limoncello to help us pedal on to Pezze di Greco. They also have a roof terrace which must be lovely too.Grazieee

MòMò means soon, soon, fast ... practically even before now. It is our typical expression, with which we assure or exhort speed. The speed of the South though. The one that does not stress you, that does not bother you, but that, on the contrary, makes yo

We have just returned from a week staying next door to the restaurant at the Sierra Sylvana hotel in Selva di Fasano (a nice enough hotel which is extremely clean) and were bowled over by the delights of Il Fagiano. The restaurant occupies a handsome large villa and is blessed with a series of elegant dining areas - beautifully decorated and furnished. The service was excellent - friendly and helpful but in no way overbearing. The food was a dream, whether ordered or just appearing as a 'little' extra, and minor variations to the make-up of dishes to meet one's preferences or appetite were accommodated with pleasure. For our second and third visits (there would have been more had it been open on Monday and Tuesday), we left the choice of wine entirely in the hands of our excellent waiter - a move which did not disappoint. We recommend Il Fagiano without reservation.

The dishes just kept coming and each one was absolutely delicious. Lots of love and thought put into the selection and preparation. Service was delightful and beyond helpful. His local wine recommended was spot on. This is the place to have authentic Puglia cuisine and a wonderful evening.

The cooking standard here is high , fine dining with beautiful presentation and lovely flavour combinations . Itâs such a surprise from an un-assuming but pleasant restaurant in a backstreet in Fasano . Eat outside on a warm summers evening to Maine it even better . In between courses friendly staff bring additional touches like a basil ice cream set in smoking dry ice before dessert . Ingredients are Italian and local but combined with modern twists like a savoury popcorn . Home made gnocchi with a pork crumb Ragu was delicious , salt cod with mushrooms and stracciaterra local buffalo cheese was perfectly cooked . Fabulous value for money including a good locally biased wine list
