We arrived near closing time, but were warmly welcomed in by the very friendly staff to have a seat for lunch. I thought the atmosphere was comfortable and I loved the handwritten menus. The Negroamaro wine made by the chef was wonderful and the antipasto of the region quite good as well. We were really happy to have found this restaurant!

We were here for a birthday dinner with friends last night and had a great time. Our waiter Giovanni was most welcoming and seated us at a cosy table in one of the trulli. Even though the place is huge, our little corner felt very intimate. We began with appetizers and there were so many served up that we didn't have room for primi or secondi afterwards! There was a vegetarian with us and they made sure that there was plenty for him to choose from, too. A few of the appetizers: assorted local cheeses and cured meats, little knots of mozzarella, grilled vegetables, cold seafood salad, meatballs. Everything was fresh and delicious. We decided to share a few deserts at the end of the meal and enjoyed those too. Finally, we finished with some home made liquors, lemon, blueberry, and a wonderful chartreuse colored concoction that we drank all the way to the bottom. Highly recommended!

Have now eaten here on three occasions and everyone of them has been fabulous. I've never wanted a menu when enjoying a typical local dining experience, but understand one is available if that's for you.The quality of the food is superb, my first meal there was with two couples and we had 8 to 10 mixed starters followed by a huge plate of mussels to share and then a chunk of perfectly rare local steak. One of our diners preferred their steak medium to well (it's a crime in my eyes), but the staff kindly obliged and we all had it exactly the way we wanted. Beer, water, white and red wine was consumed in vast quantities and were finished off with a sweet pastry dessert and three bottles of digestive...... that's right, three large bottles left on our table to consume as we wished. The price for this decadence â¬30 a head ..... fabulous value !!I've been back twice since and have had equally good food, but with totally different antipasti (they deliver what ever is at the best of the season) and never been let down.Really, anyone who has reason to write a bad review had either been terribly unlucky or is an idiot. If you want to have a surprise tasting style menu for an amazing price then you've found the right place.

Very disappointed with our meal. Antipasti quite good, but 2 meals out of 4 sent back. Octopus was off. As there were only 1 octopus and 2 prawns on the plate it is difficult to understand why they didn't realise the octopus did not smell right, let alone taste right. An apology would have been appreciated, but no hint even. As for the 'fillet' steak, well, thinnest, fattiest fillet I have ever come across, shoe soles thicker. House wine very nice. There are much better restaurants in the town.Buona Sera, signora Elaine. Ciao MIMMO

We had a wonderful lunch at Mehta. The chef, served several âAmuse Boucheâ items and a glass of sparkling Rosé before we ordered. He took a lot of time explaining the source and preparation of each dish. Being in Martina Franca, itâs unlikely they will ever win a Michelin Star, but they certainly deserve one. It was fantastico!

Very good food in great setting. The restaurant has problem coping with large group, although the staff are friendly and attentive. They should do something about the football pitch lighting and replace it with something less harsh, less aggressive. Thanks for the advice, both for the service and for lighting that will already be changed from September! Your tips are a big help for us !

Jus tried this place an was surprised of how good it was. Only problem is the size of the portions. It's simply not possible to eat all. Nice seating outdoors and friendly vaiters make this place one of our favorites.

Two steps away from Piazza Vecchia, in the middle of the historic center of Ceglie Messapica, is situated Catucci Ristorante, a corner of Puglia where you can taste typical specialties in an intimate and welcoming atmosphere.
The restaurant is in a pleasant setting in the historic town centre.Overall the food is very good and well presented, though some dishes are more inspired that others. The prawns and beans and the capocollo with mozzarella and figs starters were both excellent. The first course of wild boar pappardelle was also good. The second course was a little hit and miss, my wife's sea bass with fennel sauce and olives was excellent, my barbecued steak, whilst of good quality, was just steak with a slice of lemon. The warm apple tart dessert with vanilla ice cream was also excellent. On the day we visited the restaurant was full and the service was a little rushed and disorganised at first.
