We decided that we would have dinner in this restaurants despite the mixed reviews by some Italians.I can clearly say that this is a gem of restaurant. You can eat under the stars on a warm evening surrounded by other diners both families and couples enjoying the food and not a mobile phone or tablet in sight. For the first course we shared an Antipasto della casa which I had to ask the server to confirm that it was only one portion as it was so large. In true Italian style we had shared a really tasty Pizza for the next course. The best was the Tagliata rucola a grana which was a tender steak perfectly cooked and sliced which literally melted in your mouth and which was covered with roasted cherry tomatoes and rocket leaves and accompanied by a very large bowl of mixed salad.A fabulous dinner and a restaurant that I would highly recommend.

The building may once have been the station offices/waiting rooms but now, with the addition of another room and a very large function room it is a smart restaurant. You pass through the entrance into an internal courtyard complete with comfortable seating and low tables. Inside the rooms have high domed ceilings reflecting nearby trulli and are uncluttered with a few good quality pieces of furniture and there is evidence of someone's love of crochet work. There was a good range of dishes, not too many to choose from. We were presented with an amuse bouche to start with and different varieties of warm bread rolls and types of tarella. Three chose pasta and one tuna tartare for starters and for mains two chose fish, one beef and one chicken. The surprise was to see baked potatoes on the menu, which were delicious. The food was well presented and nicely cooked except for the chicken which was over-cooked. We were too full for dessert but all had coffee. This made a very pleasant change from the usual trattoria, pizzeria, osteria and for a moment I forgot I was in Italy. Service very pleasant if a little slow at times. With two bottles of water and a bottle of Aglianico the bill came to E166 .

The pizza restaurant la rosa only 300 meters from the sea surrounded by greenery with indoor and outdoor spaces and ample parking .Nasce learned from experience over the years since the current management and the third generation of restaurateurs cooking
This is a new restaurant for us visited in August. We are regular visitors to restaurants in the area and La Rosa was recommended by some Italian friends. Very pleasant outdoor sitting area with attentive and pleasant staff. We chose meals that we were used to in other local restaurants (Fritto misto pesce, entrecote steak etc) and can report that the meals here compared very favourably. Fried fish was obviously home prepared and super fresh, steak was very tasty and tender, salad, chips and grilled veg were all a treat. Surprisingly there were no jugs of house wine but the bottle of Puglian white we had was quite classy and only 10 euros. Another good restaurant to add to our list. We were the only Brits there too which we rather like.

The restaurant is only metres from the sea and manages to serve uninteresting, unappetising and most likely old fish for lunch. There is no good reason for this unless customers are queuing up to get in at night because of their location. They weren't queuing when we were there. Pizza for lunch wasn't available, certain pasta dishes weren't available. We felt backed into a corner as we had been given our drinks and felt we couldn't easily leave. We had seen the old looking fish in the glass case on the way but three out of four went for fish as there was no other nice option. The fourth person chose not to have a mains and in hindsight was wise to give it a skip. Three plates of deep fried fish appeared. We couldn't believe how bad it was. One of us just put the napkin over the meal and the others picked at bits. When the plates went back practically full the chef came out to see what was wrong. We felt quite intimidated at his manner and said it was fine and asked for the bill. We didn't debate with him. Instead of the bill two desserts came out as an apology. Fair enough as a gesture but we just wanted to leave and it took ages then to get the bill. 60 euros is too much to pay for food of this poor quality. If you like all your food from a fryer and aren't too interested in fresh seafood then this restaurant is for you. The irony is I was sitting beside a door with two tripadvisor badges from 2013 & 2014....... Not in keeping with reality.Gentle IrishEastcoast, we are sorry for the inconvenience happened, we can assure you with certainty that our fish is fresh and visas your doubts Chef came out to hear your own opinion, as it is usual to do in all restaurants as they should. Vogiamo point out that if we expose our fresh fish in the "glass boat" is because the fish is really fresh, otherwise the terremmo belo hidden in the kitchen without showing it to anyone! And 'good custom that if someone has somthing to say say it immediately and not of TripAdvisor apparire.Inoltre only 15 Euros per person for a dinner of fish do not seem at all like excessive cost ... of course we invite you to return by us to taste many of our excellent dishes. Best regards

It's a beautiful, rustic-elegant looking restaurant. Family owned. No foreigners. The authentic Italian experience. The antipasto changes daily; innumerable little plates brought to your table which alouds you to have a little taste of everything: cheese, salads, seafood, polpetti, meats, stew, pickles, etc... They have a wood oven outside where the make all sorts of pizzas with the freshest ingredients. Open year round.

This place is great. Run by the friendly fishmongers a few steps away, it serves excellent imaginative fish dishes using perfectly fresh ingredients, put together inventively by a brilliant chef. The fritto misto is delicious, the octopus salad wonderful, the octopus served with melon is inspired and inspiring, the salmon-filled panzerotti are surprising, the tiramisu is memorable. The atmosphere is fun, friendly, and informal, and the food is served on slate and cardboard boxes. You can sit at the front on the piazza, inside, or at the back in the small alleyway. The wine list is great too.Thank you so much for the compliments, we are delighted that you enjoyed our dishes and our restaurant. We wait for you soon ;)

We love this little restaurant in the heart of the old town. Went several times again last summer whilst on holiday locally, and was never disappointed. Gets very busy so best to book in advance. Friendly service and tasty food for a very reasonable price - perfect!

Iâve been travelling around the area since a couple of years so far and I found a little disappointment âbout this restaurant, especially if Iâm working for a big group from another country and I see such a colourful and âRated Râ promotion on the social media. So I was attracted to go in, but I didnât found the experience so charming. The expert waiter was really attentive, but too much intrusive in was our private conversation. We ordered only two mains: âOrecchiette con le rape ed i Taglioni al pomodoro e stracciatellaâ. Both quite nice but nothing supreme.Last, but not least, I personally wrote on the note â14th Birthdayâ but nothing happened. I believe this restaurant could do better, if it tries not to be lazy.
