The setting for this restaurant was really nice, right by the water and in the evening it had a great atmosphere. However it did get really busy and the waiters were rushing around everywhere, and it was sometimes hard to get their attention but they were doing an amazing job of running such a busy place. The portions were quite large compared to other restaurants and the house wine was very drinkable and reasonably priced. It's a good place to visit for large or small groups and our waiter, Roberto, also spoke excellent english (despite us trying our best to use our limited italian!)

We opted to share a light meal here after arriving late off a flight from the UK. The waitress was delightful settled us down with a good bottle of local wine she recommended and chatted to use throughout the meal, despite being really busy, we immediately felt looked after, relaxed and at home. we only stayed in Brindisi for three nights so didn't have chance to go back but would head here if and when we do.

We visited in 2016 and came back in 2017. Great location, beautiful place, very atmospheric. Traditional, local food made with great attention to detail. Rustic, but simply more refined than most places. The antipasto misto is simply amazing, like a meal in itself, great mix of cheeses, vegetables and seafood. And a potato tart that, in itself, is a good enough reason to visit this place (again and again). After that, there's not really a fixed menu, it's whatever is available on the day/in the season. Wines were very fine local options. There is something about this place. They care about their food just a little bit more, you feel like you're in the best restaurant in Brindisi, you feel it's different, you know it's worth your detour.

This is a restaurant for locals but having read the reviews decided to try. Presented with a menu of 5 pages but very few meals were available. The pasta to start was ok. I requested roast vegetables with my meat dish. When it arrived roast vegetables turned out to be five discs of aubergine only.

Having scoured TA for good places to eat in Brindisi, we decided to try this place for dinner during our short break. We were quickly seated outside and fortunately for us, a jazz band were also in session. This certainly added the extra âwowâ factor to our dining experience - hence 5 stars.Wait staff were great at translating the compact but very enticing menu. We ordered caprese salad (the other halfâs favourite) which made for a refreshing start, delicious spaghetti with Parmesan cream, followed by pork scallopine in lemon. The local white wine by the glass was also delicious and made a perfect accompaniment to the meal. Very reasonably priced menu!I would highly recommend this place; food, wait staff and ambiance were all to a high standard - and recommend booking when the live music is on as the band were simply awesome! Thank you Rendez-Vous team.Thank you...

In a small and refined space, in the historical centre of Brindisi, and a few minutes from the harbour, there is Acquapazza. The restaurant proposes the best Mediterranean fish Specialties, all prepared with simple recipes, genuine flavours and excellent
I enjoyed seeing the fresh fish and seafood in the tank, and very much the open kitchen with its very smartly dressed and efficient kitchen staff. It was slightly different at the front of house. A rather scruffy man appeared from time to time but seemed more intent on chatting rather than waiting. Not a good impression. The better dressed waitress worked very hard indeed (she had to, since the man wasnât doing much) although we felt pressured into ordering more than we wanted. Although the wine list was short, several of the wines on it were not available. I thought the food was good but not outstanding or memorable. The service didnât make me want to return.I would say this was good meal, but the TA star system goes from âaverageâ to âvery goodâ so I couldnât. If possible, I would give it a 3.5.

The previous reviews are accurate- reading that it is off the tourist track always attracts us and this little place is soo worth finding. Super friendly service - ricotta (a little strong- but delicious) and tomatoes arrived with toasted baguette while we waited for our seafood risotto - well worth the wait it was delicious and obviously fresh fish. And the final âcontoâ - very reasonable. Thank you for a lovely night.

My boyfriend and I ate here after a late flight on our first night of our Puglian adventure. We didn't know it was the 2nd best restaurant in Brindisi (at time of writing). We had been recommended the square and went to the busiest restaurant. There is no menu - you go inside, order the cuts of meat you want (we had belly pork, spicy sausage and pork/bacon things which was enough for 2) and wait at a table outside. They had patio heaters so if your slightly out of season and it's a wee bit chilly you can still enjoy al-fresco. The meat was lovely...can't fault it at all. We guessed the price before the billl came to be almost double what it actually was - shows what this sort of food would be worth in the UK. Very reasonable and friendly staff. Brilliant welcome to Puglia.
