I love going to these unknown places (and when I say unknown, I mean TripAdvisor hadn't even heard of this place before this review). When you go to these tucked away little osterias in Italy - you find the most authentic, traditional and mouth-watering meals of your life. My friend drove me an hour outside of Bergamo to this little gem, and we ate the most amazing food in all of Lombardy as far as I'm concerned. We started off each getting homemade lasagna - but with a twist. It wasn't made with ragout, but instead with a special kind of potato pasta, and a special type of cheese both of which I'd never even heard of. Each bite was like a little shred of heaven mingling with the inside of my mouth. I wanted the flavor and moment to last forever. This is why I tried (but failed) to eat the entirety of the huge portion they brought out. Next, we split a pizza, which was like-wise out of this world amazing. The mozzarella hung like some kind of gooey cartoon-like cheese. The sauce was incredible, the crust just right and the porcini mushrooms were swimming in some kind intense yumminess that I could not identify. The service was very friendly and efficient - especially considering the place was packed. Finally, the desert came, and had I had room in my stomach I would have had more than just two bites. This tiramisu was beyond good. It was beyond great. It was the most delicious thing I have ever tasted in its context - and this is coming from someone who has spent several years in the country, tasting the desert in the Northern, Southern and central regions. This was divine. I asked the waitress when she came to collect our plates, if there were angels working in the kitchen. :) The atmosphere was really great - the moment you walk into the restaurant you are overcome with the most penetrating smell of deliciousness to your senses, and you want to start stealing food off of other patrons' plates! It's loud when full, and full of lively chatter and friendly laid back people. Someone had a birthday while we were there, and at some point the staff shut off the lights and came out singing "tanti auguri" (happy birthday) to the guest, carrying a cake with candles. To end the evening we had coffee, which was also quite good. The bill was fair - roughly 36 euro, including drinks and seating charge. I would not just recommend this place, but command people to go here if you have access to a car and have the time while near the Bergamo area to go. It is so worth going out there! Go hungry and order at least a couple of things (if not more) off the menu; you will not regret it!

Truly Italian food with nice price quality ratio! Went with 7, took primi piatti, all very nice. Desserts somewhat more variable quality, but overall nice experience.

First you need to know that they are closed early in the week and or for special occasions. We came by without reservations on a Tuesday and it was closed. We asked one of the workers on the farm when they were open and they said Thursday. We walked around the horse farm a bit and left for Clusone which is not very far. BTW - beautiful town. We decided to come back on Thursday for lunch. As we drove up the driveway we saw no cars? We walked into the farmhouse and it was set up so perhaps we were early. We asked one of the staff, I believe one of the owners, if they are open for lunch. She said, sorry we are closed for a wedding today. After explaining that this was our second try and were disappointed as we looked so much forward to their fantastic lunch. She said, wait a moment I will be right back. A few moments later she did come back and asked if we would like to have lunch with her family and workers as they will be sitting down shortly. We were so grateful and appreciative of that gesture and took her up on her offer. We are glad we did. Lunch was basic hardy polenta with brazed beef, grilled vegetables with meat on a stick. It was awesome. She did not need to do what she did but it just goes to show the true character of the farm and the Italian people in general. We will never forget this generosity. The wedding was also very nice
