Reviews on Pizza food in Bergamo, Province of Bergamo, Italy. Bergamo is a northern Italy treasure. Dating from 49 BC, Bergamo has two centers: the Alta (upper) city and the Bassa (lower) city, connected by a funicular and walking trails. For historic sites, go to Alta for the Piazza Vecchia, the Cattedrale di Bergamo e Battistero, and the Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore Baptistry, as well as the quirky mausoleum of Rastelli, the world famous juggler. Bassa is more modern and residential, and boasts Via 20 Settembre - the shopping district.

Great pizza and so much to select from. My husband and I each had a different pizza type and we were both pleased. You pick your pizza, they cook it while you pay and you can take it out, upstairs or in back to eat it. Really good fast food.

I read a lot of recommendations and drove 5 hours to try the place True they give separate knife and fork or plates that are specific for gluten free eaters but this is not enough as what is the most important in a restaurant is taste of the food and qualityGor gluten free they had 1 pasta option with fried aubergine only and the rest were pizza and burgers, we went with the pizza and simply it was the worst dough and pizza I ever ate in my life, not soft and so white and unhealthy The women who served us didn't speak English and they didn't have an English menu which was a struggleI highly recommend not going and never repeating this mistake againWe only ate what was on the top of the pizza as we were hungry so we wasted our money, time and calories

Tucked down an alleyway off Via Borgo Santa Caterina, this large restaurant serves some of the best food in Bergamo. Tijuana is one of a pair of family-owned Argentinian steak-houses that have been around for over 20 years, offering a fusion of Italian and South American cuisines. While very popular with locals and tourists alike, its large seating area means that couples can usually get a table without booking. However, despite its size, the pleasant and well trained staff are very attentive to their customers' needs, making dining feel much cosier. The large menu offers a wide range of dishes reflecting both the Italian and South American traditions but, to be honest, we didn't get far beyond their signature steak offerings! These are ordered by weight from a daily selection of available cuts and, while most are suitable for 2 or more people, a few can be divided for a single person. Naturally, my wife and I couldn't agree on our choices, and so ordered the onglet and the smallest T-bone available (which was still more than large enough). The steaks arrive very rare, but are then sliced at the table by the waiter and placed on your personal, table-mounted charcoal grill, where you can continue to let them cook to your preferred degree. Quite apart from this interesting serving process, both steaks were among the best we've eaten, with excellent flavour and texture. The starters were equally good, with both the empanadas and chorizo being delicious, and a wide selection of drinks and desserts were also available. While definitely one of the more expensive eateries in the area, Tijuana is a definite must-try if you're staying in Bergamo

Eat here on our first night and staff were very friendly and happy. Got table straight away. Complimentary Prosecco and nibbles. Pizza choice was amazing and excellent quality. Desserts to die for. And more complimentary liquor to finish meal. Well feed and very affordable prices. About 10 euro average per pizza

Our plane landed very late (23:30 pm) and had to rush to the hotel and then we couldn't find somewhere to eat. This was recommended by the receptionist and he was so right. Great food, even at that hour, great service and very clean restaurant. The owner is a very open person, willing to make us comfortable and always smiling.

We went there for dinner a bit after they opened, the restaurant is well kept and the service was always prompt, professional and friendly. We enjoyed our seafood (fritto misto very much along with amazing vegetables and proper cooked fries)Wine was also great and the sweets delicious also.Pizza looked great, since by the time we left it came full of locals mostly ordering pizza and seafood. It's a bit out of town, but have ample parking and definitely worth it to try it.Best dinner we had in North of Italy this time around.

Great amazing pizza. We always wanted to try what pizza tastes like in Italy. This place didn't disappoint. The entire time we were there people were going in and out, they are pretty busy. A slice of pizza is a dinner. It easily weighs a pound. There are some beers and drinks in the refrigerator. When we were leaving Luca gave us a present. When we got to the bus stop we realized that the last bus has left already. We went back to the restaurant to ask for a wifi password but instead Luca got one of his friends to take us to the hotel and he refused to take any money. Thanks for the awesome pizza and being so nice.

Visited this place for dinner. Place was chooswd because our favorite Bergamo place was closed for reconstruction. This is modern version of ittalian pizzeria. Small menu offers different pizza, pasta, salads and fritted items. There is offered drefted beer from small? beer brewery Birra Moretti and small wine list (2 white wines and 1 prosseco, 2 or 3 red wines).Pizza was very good, other dishes was ok. Staff was very friendly, english skills was so so...This is place for pizza lovers, this place is not for italian classics lovers.
