Looking for an authentic lunch on the way to Bergamo airport, we ended up in La24.Absolutely not on a cosy location, but 10minutes from the airport. Parking on the other side of the via Tonale.Set 14⬠pranzo menu with 3 starters-3main courses at 14â¬!We had a yummy spaghetti Vongole and filete orrata. Normal portions, not big, fresh. Good wine. Desert was a nothing fancy. With coffee, Bread and waters 20-25â¬/person.Good address for a fast fresh lunch near BGY Orio.

One of the great thrills in travelling in continental Europe is to come unexpectedly across a restaurant in a rural setting where the patron is not only a wizard in the kitchen but a very welcoming and entertaining presence in the dining area itself. The Rosso di Sera Trattoria e Pizzeria in Abbazia di Albino therefore came as a great surprise and treat. Abbazia di Albino is a small village on the edge of Albino, roughly 15 kms northeast of Bergamo in Lombardy, Northern Italy. This small restaurant was opened in the Spring of 2014 by Andrea Borza and his brother, both of whom I learned had returned to their home area after spending a number of years plying their trade in the Enoteca Delle Langhe in Dublinâs Italian Quarter. Situated in the valley of the river Serio, Rosso di Sera is beautifully surrounded by colourful mountains on all sides and has a totally away-from-it-all atmosphere. It is open from noon and serves all comers late into the night. For example, while I wined and dined there, the local parish priest arrived with a party of eight visitors just 30 minutes before midnight and they were made very welcome. This is very much a restaurant frequented by locals and is off the beaten path for visitors. Indeed, the locals, whether dropping in to dine or just enjoy the atmosphere over a bottle of wine, were very friendly and welcoming. There are many attractives features about this very Italian trattoria. While it typically serves pastas and pizzas, it offers some very tasty alternatives. On my first visit, I had fish for one of the courses, while on my second visit I was able to enjoy a wild boar pasta. I mention a second visit. I enjoyed my first evening there so much that I booked a local b & b in Albino to enable me make a return visit a week later, have another enjoyable meal and be close to Bergamo Airport. Rosso di Sera has three very special treats that I would recommend. Andreaâs bruschettas, with their variety of toppings, are among the best you will find in Italy. Secondly, donât miss out on the house tiramisu which is among the very best I have had anywhere. Thirdly, unusually for an Italian trattoria, Andrea has draught Guinness on tap and, after his years in Dublin, knows how to present the perfect pint. Added to all this is a cheerful host who will greet you in Italian or English, aided by his charmng front-of-house manager, Sabrina. I found both food and wine to be very reasonably priced, and wine is served by both bottle or glass. If you have a car and are touring near Bergamo, a stop for lunch or dinner on the outdoor deck at Rosso di Sera will not disappoint. I will be going again.

Locale immerso nel verde a pochi metri dal casello autostradale di Grumello del Monte . Cucina mediterranea , prevalenza pesce , ottime crudita' di mare . Servizio affabile e generoso in un ambiente rilassante .
Al vigneto has been a nice suprise, located in the small village where i live i did not expect such a nice environment , in the heart of the vineyard, few tables everywhere sense of clean and quality. Professional staff, authentic dishes with reasonable price. Wine list ok, i recommend it for business dinner in the area of Valcalepio.

My business trip is continuing in Lombardia, I'm in Trescore Balneario, near Bergamo. For dinner I had a Real Pizza Napoletana in this pizzeria. Wonderful Pizza with friarelli and sausage, a the end a wonderful pastiera. Nobody made pizza like people from Naples.

The concept of "Lombard tradition and creative genius" is the leitmotiv of Da Vittorio's menus, which are regularly updated and altered to keep up with changes in the market and in the seasons. The care, attention and exploration of culinary themes is kep
Perhaps our expectations were too high, but we left with a feeling of disappointment. The meal and service started at the expected high level but as the restaurant continued to fill, the service level dropped. Maybe we were unlucky and even the best restaurant can have a bad day but the truth is that having acquired 3 stars does oblige an establishment to maintain the level.

The most critical aspect is that one could never find it, unless a very good friend bring him along :)Maison Florian is up above the precious ancient Benedictine abbey of San Paolo d'Argon, 20 km East of Bergamo towards Iseo lake, right on the border of Franciacorta: a top-end wine area.Coming to the food: it is barely genial. Very tasty, all that we tasted. Very well presented. Most of the recipes are representative of the local cuisine and they are interpreted in a modern way without distoring their origins. The furniture, the table cloth and napkins are perfectkly chosen and the panorama is superb. Do not worry for the wines as a wide choice is available.

This place has two separate restaurants. The proper restaurant where you can expect to spend 100 eur and a more easy going " bistro ". I tried the bistro. Location is nice, tables have room, attentive and friendly service. Now the food, i had the " filetto " - can't really complain nor i cans say " wowww" . Ice cream very tasty though and definitely not "industrial" . Not cheap but not very expensive either. Let's say I'll go back ... With no hurry.
