This restaurant is just past the "Casa Natale" of Blessed John XXIII, on Via Colombera. I had a risotto here that was quite excellent. More than that, the waiter (proprietor?) was extremely kind and friendly. This friendliness is all the more striking given the very hit-or-miss nature of service in this area. On the very same day, I was at a pizzeria between the baptism church and main church. After 20 minutes of sitting and not being approached by a waiter during what was clearly a slow business day, I finally chose to leave). Like almost every establishment in this town, this restaurant lacks wifi. The food at Angeloni was more than reasonably priced. But it's the service that places this restaurant above so many others. I would recommend it without reservation.

If you want a genuine taste of local food, this is the place to go. The restaurant is on top of the hill, however you can reach it by car or after a lovely walk in the vineyard. Once you arrive, the first think you will notice is the view: when the sky is clear and deep, you can see the never ending plain, and if you are lucky, you can spot the Milanese skyscrapers, I am not joking. The menu is based on local food and local recipes, and it comes with the wine made in the vineyard. And don't miss the spirit! Furthermore, if you have enjoyed too much wine, you can sleep there. From the quiet balcony of your room, you can clearly see the stars. I strongly recommend this place, both for a romantic weekend and for a lovely family lunch.

He Trattoria Visconti is a house with an intimate and family atmosphere, in the old centre of Ambivere, a small village just a few kilometres from Bergamo. The Visconti family has run it for three generations, attentive to the evolutions of the tastes and
I bought the new Slowfood Osterie d'Italia guide and we finally decided to check this restaurant out as it has been listed in the guide since 2003. We haven't been disappointed! You can choose à la carte or one of 3 different menus, one at ⬠39 with freshwater fish, one at ⬠32 and at ⬠42 the Menu dei prodotti dei Presidi. We choose the last one as raw materials are sourced from Slowfood Presidia, local projects that work to improve the infrastructure of artisan food production. We enjoyed, after a tasty appetizer, Culaccia (Prosciutto crude dolce di langhirano), Cannelloni al nero di Bracca, Tartare di manzo al nero di Bracco and semifreddo al pistachio di Bronte. Everything was simply delicious. We drank an excellent 2008 Albareda Sfursat for ⬠28. The Trattoria was fully booked but quiet and calm anyway. Don't miss this place if you are in Lombardia!

It's long time I know this restaurant in Palazzago's hills, few Km from Bergamo and each time I go it is always better. The restaurant style is warm and relaxing, with very kind staff and google choice of typical dishes in the menu. Also the wines menu is wide and with good choice of brands and wineyards. The quality is excellent, all the food is done in the best way ad for example the best tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms made with fresh pasta or the stufato d'asino and polenta taragna, you cannot miss them. Desserts are also excellent. If I need to tell the only negative aspect it is the home wine which is not at the level of all the rest. Then I will come back for sure once again and again and I recommend to go there if you are in the Bergamo area.

We went for a family meal here for the May bank holiday and it was fantastic. If you are looking for the real Italian experience look no further! They do a fixed menu with LOTS of beautiful food for a very accessible price. All Italian classic done the real home made way. Now the menu changes all the time but think risotto, ravioli, pasta, gnocchi followed by tender meat, we had a pork fillet that was to die for. The dessert wine is made by the owner and is incredible!

Cucina Casalinga Bergamasca
Questi i voti : Locale 4\Servizio 4\ menu 3\conto 3

Servizio gentile sorridente e professionale. Dolci vari e fatti in casa.
