On a recent stay in Trani, we dined here twice we were so impressed with our experience on many levels. The high level of service becomes apparent shortly after you are seated. Sara, our server, was friendly and was able to describe the menu items in great detail in English. We were to learn later that she and her brother are servers in this osteria owned by her father who may also be the chef. Family owned and operated establishments are not always successful or well-run but Frangipane is. After selecting from the menu, Sara displayed her knowledge of wine in making a recommendation with which we were very pleased. We were served a gift- a small tasty portion of something special to start. One night it was a salad of seeded green tomatoes, cucumber and red onion that had been marinating in a bit of olive oil as well as their own juices. The breads were of two different types served with the largest crispy taralli and olive oil. Antipasti were delicious and prepared with great eye appeal in mind. Polpo/ octopus with thin crispy potatoes and the âeggâ set on a bed of light greens, caciocavallo cheese and accented with vin cotto at serving. Since we each ordered a pasta dish to follow our antipasti, Sara offered to have them split in the kitchen and served one at a time so we could gracefully share our plates and extend the pace of our dinner. Again such great flavors and exquisite appearance- because first we eat with our eyes! Freshly made black cavateli with Snow White cuttlefish, green peas and red roasted tomatoes followed by risotto with shrimp, caciocavallo, red pepper flakes and friggitele- Italian sweet green chili peppers. We were too satiated to order dessert but were served a small bowl of sugared almonds. Along with a bottle of wine - DOP Caccâe Mmitte and a Aqua minerale our dinner for two was â¬70. As there are many places to eat for less, we considered this more like a âpre-Michelinâ experience and at a level of taste and artistry that would cost triple at home...so we went again before leaving Trani and enjoyed another wonderful experience!

We choose this resto because of the favourable reviews on TA, and we were not disappointed. A family run affair, with a warm and welcoming waiter and host attending to your needs. The menu is not set in stone, as there are a variety of dishes that are prepared fresh each week. Everything we ate, appetizers, mains, and dessert, were well prepared and and very tasty. Portions are not large, and neither are the prices. The dishes are actually perfectly proportioned so that you can try a variety of fresh seafood and fish dishes. The owner's cherry dessert wine is a nice finishing touch! The resto is nicely decorated inside, perhaps a bit too bright even (maybe dim the lights a little bit?) and overall a very nice setting. Worth coming back to to be sure. Bravo Veronique.

A la carte restaurant, located in the historic center of Trani, a short walk from the Castle and the Cathedral and surrounded by a sea smell. A small elegantly understated location that creates an intimate and magical to be lulled by the emotions of the c
Assuming you are, as were we, tourists visiting Trani and centered down around the scenic harbor, there are any number of restaurants readily to be seen as one strolls along the water. However, going a bit further away from the "action", one can reach Diavoletto Epicureo. We dined here with a group of friends and the chef took orders for each course before starting their preparation. The primi and secondi were wonderful, and the dolce options at the end were wonderful. It is a short distance from the cathedral.

100% Vegan Restaurant located nearby the fascinating port of Trani
Had dinner tonight. 2 starters: fried artichokes and avocado/pepper tartare over quinoa; 2 first courses: risotto with red cabbage & fried chickpea garnish; 2 desserts: Pistacchio cheesecake and molten chocolate soufflé;and, a bottle of organic red wine blend. It was all delicious. The staff was sweet and kind and spoke English. If I lived here, Iâd go all the time. Wonderful experience. Not to be missed. Donât be afraid of the âveganâ menu. Weâre not vegan but still loved it all.

Paninart, the Italian Slow Food
I've been here on a late hour to have a snack for my wife and me for takeaway. It took like 15 minutes to prepare one Panini and one other thing (crispy bread with tomatoes). The Panini itself was quite good, the other thing not. What annoyed me most, was the smell inside the location while waiting for the food: it was just like some air-conditioner-deo from a car...that's just not what you expect in a restaurant!

A cozy, quiet fish restaurant in the center of the Barletta. Pleasant, attentive service. The interior, executed with taste. A good fish menu, prepared according to the wishes of visitors. A large wine list. Reasonable prices. Popular with local residents. I recommend to all those who by fate, was in this town.
