We were advised to try the Osteria del Porto by someone ... who had never been there but who had heard of the place.Plastic tables, plastic chairs, plastic cutlery, only one white wine "dalla spina" (on the draught) but very fresh food. The terrace (all tables are outside, under a big umbrella that was soon too small to host all guests) doubled in size while we had our lunch.Food is super fresh (one is about ten meters away from te sea): spaghetti vongole, spaghetti frutti di mare for 7,5⬠grigliata mista (polio, sepia, gamberoni) 12â¬, Seppie or polpo with patatoes 6â¬, four grilled gamba's 8â¬, half a litre of sparkling wine 4â¬, .....Compare the place to:- a Belgian "frituur"- an oriental kebab place, - an English fish and chips standbut with fresh sea food at an unbeatable price.Must try when in Torre a Mare!

We went here in a Wednesday evening in May and whilst it wasnât overly busy it still had a great atmosphere. We had the hot antipasti starters (amazing and cheese filled) and the steak for two people. The steak was divine, was cooked blue/rare and was delivered on a hot plate. You can then take the meat if you like it rare or continue to cook it on the hot plate till it meets your grilling requirement. Homemade limoncello to finish was amazing but the house wine was distinctly average. Overall an outstanding meal and service. Our waiter was Greek and spoke great English after our poor attempts at Italian. Dear Chris, proud to read your words, thank you so much and hope to help you to enjoy again your trip in Bari.Osteria Villari

A clever blend of classic and modern interior design, glowing with warm soft lighting, gives the place the romantic and refined atmosphere that blends so well with the quality of additional home cooking offered to customers in our lovely restaurant. The v
Five of us met for lunch. Four kinds of pasta with seafood, all superb. One had dried tomato pasta with shrimp and zuchinni. Ere are many different pasta dishes, plus meat and fish main courses. Drank a frizzante chardonnay made locally. The owner was very friendly and helpful. I recommed this strongly, but it is our only Bari dining experience, so I cannot make comparisons. Molto gentili nell'aver tradotto in recensione quello che avete gustato al mio ristorante. Alla vostra simpatia. Grazie mille

I visited here with my boyfriend on a saturday. We were looking for a good restaurant with ample parking. When you enter you choose what you want to eat from what looks like a Butcher display. We were then shown to our table, we had a lovely starter with bruschetta, different salamis and cheeses, then we had the meat we had chosen, and finally dessert. All the food was amazing, the price incredible, and the staff priceless....really nice people. Well worth a visit!! Bacini da MaltaGreta

Last weekend I went for dinner to Braceria Signorile. It was intimidating at first, because there was no menu, and I was asked to go next door to choose between what seemed to me like 100 types of meat. The seller offered to make me a mix and i gladly accepted. Now, I love meat, and I love grill, and what followed was the perfect combination of the 2. Not only was the meat very tasty, but it was combined in small bits on the skewers that seemed to me imaginative and delicious, like some harder veal with some softer inside, meat wrapped by fat etc. Kind of like Mezze, but only with grilled meat. It was fantastic. I ate so much, I wasnt hungry until next day evening. And all of that for 18 Euro (including mozarella appetizers, water and coke). which i found incredibly cheap. Definitely, absolutely recommend.
