Reserved went early, given outside table, A-OK. Ordered a bottle of prossecco brut. Told it was unavailable and was offered a higher priced bottle that was demi sec ( sweet). Server didnât know the difference. We went with by the glass whiteNice carpaccio of fish served with fruit sauce. Upon waiters suggestion we had ordered a grilled fish for two. We waited and waited after 50 minutes and glasses and glasses of wine, voila dried out overcooked fish. With scallopped potatoes on the top with their edges burnt. Chef tries to pass this off as il contrasto... he knew he terribly overcooked the dish. A waste of a good fish after too too long of a wait. They did take a couple of glasses of wine of the bill.We had three each just waiting for the main course.Good place but hyped, with up selling even when not necessary.

The title of this piece speaks volumes. Nice atmosphere, a waiter run off his feet (so can't hang around for too many niceties) very respectable local food all at a very reasonable price. Oh and the complimentary ricotta cake that they gave us was fabulous - like a Jewish cheesecake made to the highest grandmother type traditions. I will return.

Having dined the night before in the formal surroundings of our nearby hotel we strolled down into Capitolo looking for something a little less stuffy and were delighted with our discovery. Lovely setting overlooking the sea and cracking atmosphere as a lively mix of customers - couples, family groups, friends - made for a buzzy atmosphere and the no-nonsense staff concentrated on keeping the dishes flying out of the kitchen with a smile. Fish to the fore as you would expect, but plenty of choice and we enjoyed everything about our meal including the 'pre-dinner drink' in the unprepossessing cafe which fronts the street. We walked back up the hill well fed and with a very warm feeling.

We found this restaurant and where hesitant because there was no one there, however, we saw the view and couldn't resist. We were greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming environment. Unfortunately, we don't speak any Italian but that was no issue the staff were very helpful and translated for us. We sat outside and had the most perfect ocean view in what seemed to be our own private garden. The wine is very reasonably priced and the food is exceptionally fresh. Lido Bianco is one of our favorite restaurants in the world! Pro tip: go early for lunch and you may just have the place to yourself!
