We visited this restaurant on the recommendation of a local when looking for a good fish restaurant. This is one of those times that I wish Trip Advisor had a rating between average and very good. We were a party of 2 adults and 2 teen girls. The foodAmazing selection of seafood all extremely fresh or alive in tanks, you choose your fish from the ice counter or tank. The fish is simply prepared and staff are very knowledgeable and happy to make suggestions. We had a mixed salad of octopus, squid and prawns to start which was delicious. They prepared a large plaice for the 3 of us eating fish. The catered for the vegetarian in the family and also had a vegan menu.LocationTucked away down a track that looks like it leads to an industrial estate. We turned around once thinking we must have got it wrong. Nice inside but no view to speak of and not near the water. ServiceWe felt a bit rushed. We were given an English menu but it was large and we would have liked to have taken more time over it. I don't know if we had arrived near the end of the lunch service but it felt as if we had (14:00) as we felt under pressure to order.WineReasonable selection of 1/2 bottles; (we were driving) but a very extensive local wine list overall so we wished we weren't. Overall good fresh seafood, not the best ambiance or service but good enough. If you are looking for very fresh seafood this is a good choice. Thank you very much for your review! I'm sorry you felt under pressure to order, I assure you that was not the case.

After an unpleasant dining experience in Lecce a few days ago( see my previous review) we headed to Polignano and found this little gem of a restaurant.Set inside the townâs wall in a charming location, the restaurant is beautiful presented with a lovely alfresco area where our table was.Staff was very attentive, polite and knowledgeable! Starters: we had smoked burrata which was delicious and carpaccio of octopus, which was fresh and light.Pasta: the bucatini were perfectly cooked and really really tasty. The ravioli were also good, though the bucatini were the winners. As secondi we had:Grilled seabream: fresh and well dressed, mixed fish frittura: light and crunchy Grilled octopus: totally heaven! In summary, highly recommended!

What a lovely experience this was! Charming family run restaurant with excellent seafood. On the night we went here, most of the restaurants were closed. We couldn't figure out why, perhaps because of the rain? But luckily this restaurant was open and based on the good reviews i'd see here on tripadvisor we were excited to go. It's run by a father and son, Flavio and Marcello. Flavio acted as waiter and sat down at our table to take our order. The salmon starter we got was amazing. I would have been happy with just that! The main course of prawns, squid and octopus was delicious and so fresh. We ordered only the house wine, but it was lovely! At the end of our meal, Flavio sat down with us and gave us some nice shots. I had a laurel one and my friend had a cream limoncello one. he then shared the recipes with us (grandma's recipes). This place is highly recommended!

Small and cozy restaurant, located in the old town, a few seats, quiet, the kitchen of this place and innovative and traditional at the same time! Natural flavors, refined and revised in accordance with all of the innovative ideas and pleasantly surprisin
We have eaten here twice in the last week. It is truly amazing and lacks any exploitation of tourists in a tourist centre. The food is outstanding and amazing value.Book it as you will not get in at short notice. Try the fish soup but share it as a starter, itâs not soup as we know it but is full of seafood and is truly an outstanding dish. The pasta will convert the most stubborn of pasta haters. This is a very genuine restaurant run by very helpful and honest staff. This is probably in my top 5 restaurants anywhere. Thank you for your skill.

A charming place, a restaurant with all the features to become "historical", since it stands where the first stones of Neapolis were placed in the far Middle Ages, today Polignano a Mare. Antiche Mura Restaurant is like the "Rotonde", the enchanting resta
The first thing that strikes you about this restaurant is its lovely, ancient design -- part of the interior wall is the old wall of the city. The seafood is extraordinary and the service excellent. We ate there twice during our stay in Puglia and each time was delicious. Highly recommended.

This is a very nice and quaint place that has a very modern design. The food is good but a bit more expensive than surround eateries though the place is much nicer and food a little more unique than other places. Worth a visit if the menu is up your alley.

The food was exquisite here and the service was exceptional. Then we need to talk about the view, the location is second to none. Forget about Cave Dining which is so overrated and disappointing many times. This Restaurant is a standout, many entreeâs were savoured today and were all delicious using the finest freshest local seafood, the talented Masterchefs created plates that weâre eye popping and tasty and wonderfully presented, meals you could never replicate at home. This was a true fine dining experience. The melt in your mouth salmon, eye catching Baccalà and Pesce Spada were just some of the fantastic offerings, a must try! The pasta was sensational, you will not be disappointed or dissatisfied in any way here. Now back to the view, located under the arched bridge with uninterrupted views of Spiaggia di Polignano, the cool breeze flows all day, the Restaurant is fitted with the most comfortable seating that you will never want to leave but when you do take home a bottle of the most splendid Raguso extra virgin olive oil in many different Armonia aromi naturali, the friendliest staff, one who speaks 6 different languages, we were a table of 8 and were completely satisfied and thrilled with our delicious excellent experience today. Thankyou to the owners and staff who made this possible

The restaurant Le Muse e il Mare stands for elegance, professionality and quality. Thanks to our chefs we turn our dishes into real works of art, always keeping the traditional flavours
Quite a few restaurants were closed in Polignano as it was Monday night and this included the restaurant we had intended on visiting.Frankly, weâre pleased it was closed as this establishment in Via Roma was superb.Itâs easy to know when youâve found a good restaurant as the service speaks volumes. Here Lorenzo, our waiter along with his female colleagues were exceptional. The atmosphere was really good, the soft jazz was spot on and of course the food dishes topped it all off. The salads were fresh, the pasta and fish dishes brilliant and the Tiramisu was the icing on the cake!We are in Polignano for three nights and despite the choice of eating places weâve decided to go back tomorrow night.
