I rated it bad because of the quality/price ratio. I could have give it a "normal" rate but they declared home style "croquetas" and they served industrial frozen bad ones (for me nothing is more important than truth, if you give me bad food and declare bad food for a bad food price i will give you an excelent rate because you sell truth). Most of the food was mediocre with some errors here and there. nothing was over the rest. Service normal, place normal, food plain. Price quite normal, except for some overpriced dishes we didnt try. Maybe our error was to try the menu on sunday, maybe "a la carte" expensive dishes are excelent, who knows. I dont recommend it in any case, there are many other options arround. I will give a chance to the expensive dishes one of this days and see. Gambas were nice but too small, seafood in general was fresh. I really doubted to give it a normal. Gastronomers avoid it, foodies avoid it. Bussines people avoid it. Could be nice for families as the price is not very high for thev menu and the quality is acceptable. Nowaday customers need more for less, Im sorry.

Seafood and mussels, clams, red prawns. Exquisite octopus and a "dorada fish" with rice soft. Delicious for palate. Thanks to all staff waiters and exceptional chef for a great day.So many thanks for that nice review, we'll be delighted to have you back.

Simple and respectfull of the classics...This restaurant is a good choice in all these waterfront restaurants that you don't know how to distinguish. It's open all year round. It means it isn't in business just for the tourist season. The prices are very reasonable although you may find the same plates for cheaper in many other places, but... the whole point is that there is a world of difference between for instance their "calamares a la romana" , which are fresh, home made, and the industrial versions that you'll get in the vast majority of the other places.

After having a few dinners in Barcelona and not being very happy on the traditional food and it mostly tasting very tourism. So I was recommended to this wonderful restaurant right on the beach and great seating as they have 3 levels with smiling staff and very friendly and helpful as I only speak English and very little Spanish!!

I randomly chose this place our first day of travel and came back with my daughter an other 2 times. The thing that met our satisfaction was the service itself. The waiters speaks little english, but try their best to help and get everything we just ask for.Our last day the glass just fall out of my hand and our food, a mixed paella that we tasted and was delicious became full of glass, i.e. we could not eat it. The waiters came back and we got an extra food extra drinks, all cost less than the paella. At the end the bill itself contained only the food and drinks that we could actually eat / drink. As said the service itself was very good. Full os smile and very friendly atmosphere and the food was also very good.Muchas gracias por tu comentario, nos alegra que la gente disfruta con lo que hacemos

I made a beeline for this place after arriving in Vilanova on Sunday evening, as I read it was open then, when many other restaurants are not.Large outside seating terrace, overlooking the sea. We felt slightly uncomfortable at first (being the only customers), but the waiting staff were charming, and a few other diners did turn up eventually. Helpful advice on choosing a wine.Try what is endearingly described in the English menu translation as "soggy rice", a cross between a risotto and a stew served with a great selection of seafood.A little pricey compared with some of the restaurants in the town - three courses and a bottle of wine for two was 113 euros - but well worth it.

Just in front of the Mediterranean, with stunning views over the beaches an port of Vilanova. We offer a wide range of local and Mediterranean cuisine, from the traditional fish dishes to home hand made pasta. One of our specials: home made dessert trolle
The restaurant is a picture, with a stunning view of the coastline and manicured grounds as well as ample seating space outside for drinks. The staff were friendly and welcoming and served us complimentary local Cava upon arrival as well as a shot of vichyssoise. Given the restaurant's location on the coast we enjoyed a mix of seafood starters, shared a seafood stew and grilled fruits de mer for main course before indulging ourselves with a selection from their excellent dessert trolley. The food was delicious and well presented. There is an English menu, but we spoke in Spanish so I cannot comment on whether the staff speak English. La Cucanya is probably around 30% more expensive than most good restaurants in the area, however the location, service and food really set it apart from the rest and we were more than happy to pay the premium as a special treat. Our first meal at La Cucanya got our holiday off to the perfect start.

Restaurant i Tapes
We had a dayâs sailing and were recommended this place by the boat owner. Although the dish he recommended was not on the menu (Lobster Rice), we still decided to stay and eat. Simply loved it. Vilanova is perhaps overshadowed by Sitges, but well worth a visit. It has a lovely relaxed feel and the prices are not so inflated. Four people, tapas, 18 oysters, big baked fish, 2 bottles of wine, desserts, coffee etc. â¦.â¬140!! Although the whole baked fish was â¬80, I think thatâs great value. We sat outside with metal tables, but it was a really nice place to be and chat. The food was excellent, certainly recommend the tapas and sardines. As this place is obviously specializing in fish, we did not try any meat products, although there were some on the menu. We certainly will be returning and really recommend this place to you.

While on a wine tour, we have received a recommendation regarding "decent" seafood restaurant. Restaurante Caferino have exceed our expectations many times over. We were a group of 9 person. The presentation of dishes as well as their taste were superb. A good selection of wines and courteous, professional service. We shall be back.

We came here on a recommendation from friends. The restaurant doesn't have a menu, just a fish counter (like you'd see at a local market) with the fish and seafood that they have that day. You select what you want, it's bagged and weighed right there and taken to the kitchen for cooking. For three people we paid â¬130 including drinks but we ordered far too much. The food - simple but excellent. The place - not the greatest decor but a great experience. My advice - take the advice of the staff as to how much you should order. If you want to try different things you can literally order a single prawn as you're paying by weight. We had clams, little fried fish, octopus, langoustines, prawns, John Dory and salad. But had too much of everything!
