After several nice meals I returned again to have one of my staples: an overly complicated dish of rice and vegetables. Instead of the usual white Italian carnoli {sp?} rice it was made with long grain beige basmati rice as specified on the menu. During three sample mouthfuls I became exasperated from spitting out hard pieces of uncooked rice! I rejected the dish and asked for two different dished I liked before, but was told that they were not able to make them that day...So after a protracted discussion about how to make rice correctly and an argument about paying or not; I insisted on paying for the unusually poor onion soup and refreshing bottled water.Could have been worse, I thought, as I bumbled out the door in disbelief...And it was... two days later when I walked 9 blocks in the cool wet evening to find my former "friend" refusing to serve me at all!Like that famous comedian, Rodney Dangerfield, used to say, "Just can't get no respect".

The food in this restaurant is modern mediterranean cuisine with a very clear local flavour. I had a pasta salad with mushrooms and foie gras as a starter and monkfish with grilled vegetables (and a nice dash of romesco sauce on the side). Everything was carefully prepared and beautifully presented. A very enjoyable meal. The waiter was very helpful to us (three non-locals with a few linguistic problems) and brought over the choice of wine bottles when the vocabulary was not quite sufficient to communicate the finer points of choosing the right wine to go with the meal. All in all, a very pleasant experience. Definitely recommended!

Well, once you've had dinner there, it's no mystery why this place is ranked number 1 in Sabadell! During this stay in Sabadell, I've eaten there twice, and I've got no regrets whatsoever. The first time, I was here with two colleagues. It was rather quiet on a Tuesday evening. we were shown the menu and the blackboard with the daily specials. The common theme in those specials was truffles, so i asked whether they had fresh truffles. As a response, we were presented with a truffle on a plate and could give it a sniff -- no surprise that we ordered accordingly! Apparently, it's the end of the season for the real black truffles. well, this was an excellent choice. My colleagues had melted brie with truffles on coca bread as a starter, and a colleague and I had fettucine with truffles and egg yolk. The non-truffle items on the menu were excellent too (I had a wonderful lentil salad with partridge breast as a starter). The service was friendly and helpful, despite some linguistic challenges. There is a good selection of wines on the menu and I spotted some empty bottles of some really special wines on the shelf in a corner of the restaurant -- perhaps it's worth asking about the wines that are not on the official listâ¦Tonight, I came back on my own, for my last dinner in Sabadell on this trip (and the place was a lot busier than a couple of days ago). I was glad that the truffle focus on the daily specials list was still there, and so I had the truffles on melted brie on coca bread too, and it was really a marvellous starter. As a new addition, there was risotto wit morels and foie gras, and I had this as my main dish. The morel risotto was out-of-this-world and came with a slice of grilled foie gras -- just perfectly done! Now, this all sounds a bit gushing. Any criticism? Hmm⦠Well, the bun that was served with the main course was a bit on the dry side. No big deal, but by the cosmically high standards of the risotto that I had in front of me at the same time, it did feel like a little bit of a let-down.A plus for the solo diners: they have 50cl bottles of two wines -- among them a very tasty and characteristic Montsant that I had with my meal tonight. My overall impression from the two dinners there is that this is a place to visit again and again. It is the very best in Catalan cuisine, put together very carefully with all the tricks of the trade to bring out everything the ingredients have to offer.

This is one of the good and secure choices in town. Simple but good quality food coming from the far land of Lebanon. The owners of the restaurant, a catholic Lebanese family, are really friendly and deserves a visit. Thank you for sharing your experience and positive vibes. We are glad you enjoyed our service!

Tapas Bar/Restaurant Catalan/Spanish style
We went looking for an authentic local restaurant and found it. This place serves up a variety of tapas, from veggies to meat dishes, seafood and cheeses. My Spanish and Catalan are non-existent, but the waiters politely found us an English menu and spoke English with us. Weâre still adjusting to the local customs as far as time to eat; we arrived at 7:40 in the evening; still 20 minutes before they opened. But they politely gave us a table and brought us drinks while we waited for them to open. As it turned out, Iâm glad we arrived early, because less than an hour later the place was bustling with locals. Food was well prepared and reasonably priced.

Beautiful place, with a modern decoration. Lovely food with good taste and price. I ordered a "bravas fulladas" and was most impressed bravas in my life.
