La extremeña, Mérida has comfortable seating inside and a terrace along the narrow street directly opposite the roman ruins. We lunched with starters of chopped smoked fish on a salad tower followed by calamar romana and an excellent dish of pork fillet with a sauce, chunks of shitaki mushrooms. Well priced menu del dÃa muy rico. Good value.

Perfect to drink a beer with tapas in the city center. Young Staff and good attention. The terrace is perfect to feel the movements of the People in that lovely city. We recomend that restaurant. Good quality on their tapas!!

Had the â¬10 menu for a 3 course meal. No English translation available so struggled a bit. Starters of cold salmon soup wasn't good but the risotto was excellent. Mains of cod and veal entrecote not massive but really well cooked with fairy chips. Desert of chocolate brownie and slice of melon to finish off. White wine @ â¬12 a bottle not bad either.
