We had dinner at La Milanesa the night of March 18, 2016. Excellent service, very fine and inexpensive wines and, best of all, superb lamb chops. This is a find!

Just to west next to Templo de Diana, we were not particularly hungry but this place looked very appealing so we dropped in ordered wine and a plate of braised squid legs with potatoes as a snack. Delicious. They also gave us a yummy starter dish of tuna potato salad. Very hip place with friendly service. Highly recommend!

We had nicely presented tapas and yummy filled cannelloni at this gem that we really recommended vegetarians and vegans to visit. The atmosphere was great and the place was very busy, so we were happy we booked in advance. We enjoyed the hospitality and the friendly staff. We really felt we had value for money and would have loved to revisit this establishment.

Our whole experience was fantastic. The decor reflects in a modern way the Roam history of Merida. The service through could not be bettered. In traditional British style we arrived long before the kitchen staff (that is 7 pm) so had to sit and chat and consume local red wine until it was time to eat. When the food did arrive it was everything we had hoped. The corvina (what is the English name of this fish) and mussel ceviche starter was delicious. For mains my wife had cod with ratatouille. The cod was salt cod but of a different quality that you see in the supermarkets of southern Spain and Portugal. She loved it.My pork shoulder steak with a mixed veg stir fry was equally fresh and tasty. These plus a bottle of red come to 53 euro.Hope to be back to expand my limited knowledge of Roman Merida and when this happens we will eat at La Tahona.

We had a superb meal here with friends, friendly staff and a menu with a reasonable choice! I choose the fillet steak, it was cooked to pink perfection!! It's a shame it was almost empty because this place should be full !!

Not sure what the last two reviewers found wrong but we just had an exceptional lunch at Fusiona with original, fresh and delicious dishes which we enjoyed with great pleasure and even the wallet was happy. Perhaps not the solution for a big heavy meal but fantastic if you want healthy tasty food especially if you like vegetarian fare.

Our accommodation recommended El Puchero and we thank them for it. The staff at El Pucheron were immediately welcoming upon our arrival and not like the raft of pushy salespeople on this tourist strip. They accommodated our two children happily, even providing a Menū Infantil. We had the menū and had our waiter give us his recommended dishes. Everything was excellent. We would happily return. Thanks El Puchero :)

As is the case with many restaurants in Merida, La Mafia makes good use of an old building to create an interesting, attractive dining space. However, the menu is somewhat less interesting. We found the food overly rich - the chef appeared unable to resist featuring, or adding cheese and other dairy products. There is a limited selection of pasta dishes where cream has not been added, but they failed to excite. Extremadura produces some of the finest ingredients anywhere, but here they fail to sing.
