Having a house in Umbria we were introduced to this retaurant by a friend 5 years ago.Slightly ticked away on a business park,this is certainly not an establishment you'll suddenly stumble upon,but once you've found it we think you'll find it unbeatable.The fixed price lunch @14 euros (including wine,water and coffee) is exceptional value served in a large atmospheric room with efficient and friendly service. The owners are all very much in evidence,working the tables like the true professionals they are.At weekends in the evening the same room transforms itself into the Sesto Canto restaurant by clever changing of the decor,lighting and table settings. The pizzas are to die for,and the pastas and meat dishes are of a high standard, even for this region.A first class,family run restaurant,which is our favourite of the many we enjoy in the Northern Umbria/Eastern Tuscany region.

Ristorantino piccolo molto accogliente vicino ad Arezzo titolari estremamente gentili e disponibili sia la mamma che la figlia violinista, partiamo com crostini ottimi salumi buoni e formaggi ottimi accompagnati da delle focaccine calde veramente spettacolari primi pici al sugo di nana e tagliolini ai funghi entrambi buoni tagliata, cantucci e vin santo caffe e grappa. Vino un chianti di qualità più che discreta il tutto per un conto intorno ai 30 â¬. i miei complimenti alla titolare

Right in the center of town and good prices. Their bacon looking pizza and ricotta pizza were awesome. The fried dough sandwich with prosciutto and mozzarella was also delicious. Service was efficient, but you need to squeeze your way to the front and place your order.

I donât normally complain about prices. But this is a very ordinary place and prices for our panini werenât low. At lunchtime to add Coperto( cover) for this has not happened anywhere in Italy on this trip. And they overcharged for one item. Finally their soft drink prices were much higher than we paid elsewhere. Thereâs a much better and nicer place about 25 metres away If you had food in our bar Iâm sure you had a menu where prices are write also âcopertoâ one euro, ridiculous, in other places I payed much more, so I donât understand if for you the prices were too high you decided to stay, why donât you go in the other nicer place about 25 metres away? When I go out Iâd like find prices and food like mine.....

Lovely little pizza & pasta place on the road between Urbino and Siena. This was a "hey look, a restaurant, pull over!" discovery for us, and it worked out fabulously. Great tortellini with mushrooms and truffles, and a decent prosciutto pizza. Friendly staff with some English, and a pretty space too.

This restaurant was well worth the short climb from our holiday house at Ferraguzzo. Beautiful views, delicious food, a convivial non-touristy atmosphere. The service was excellent, and they managed to seat our party of 12 (adults and children) even when we forgot to book on one occasion. Highly recommended.

We were looking for a quick bite in Monterchi, and our landlords suggested the Greppia... Just the right choice!La Greppia is far from stylish: next to a parking lot, not far from the road, plastic chairs and paper table cloths on mini tables, and a rather bland interior. But: the pizza was excellent, the service very friendly and quick, and the prices just incredibly low.Arriving at 7 pm with our kids, the restaurant and covered outside patio were still empty. At 8 pm the patio was full, mostly with locals. The menu consists of approx. 20 different pizze (from the wood stove, between 3 and 6 â¬, also to take away), a set menu, and a fish/seafood menu only on Fridays. We had pizze: freshly done, good quality. The seafood menu seemed to be the favourite with many of the locals at tables next to us - it seems to be La Greppia's signature dish. For desert we chose "delizie al limone", a lemon sponge cake, because it was the only homemade desert they had - a good choice.The service was quick and very friendly, and easy-going with our kid and toddler. I'd go again anytime for a good value-for-money pizza, or maybe try the seafood.

We have stayed many years in the Palazzo Rosadi from the Rosadi family. A spectacular villa in Monterchi. During our stays in Monterchi we always return to Bar Caronte. No many tourists around and self-service if you want to have a drink on the terrace.Particularly good access from the road and a lot of parking space just in front of the bar.At the beginning we were not impressed by this bar. It is not a fancy place but it is a great location to return. Once the people know you they become more friendly and service improves. Good ice-cream and cold beers. Fantastic however is the Sunday evening pizza night where almost all the locals attend. You cannot make reservations in advance so make sure you arrive not too late.Pizza really is fantastic and the ambiance is great! All of this at very low cost. We never miss out on Pizza night in Bar Caronte!

The menu isn't vast, but everything we had was well cooked and nicely presented. The meats we had were beautifully tender and my partner raved about the two kinds of steak that he chose on our two nights there. The house wines were not expensive and we enjoyed both the red and the white. What I really appreciated is that there was no coercion to order more than you wanted. Some people were eating several courses, whilst others had one. We shared a very nice platter of antipasti and it would have been far too much for one alone. My favourite dish was an excellent pizza (quattro formaggi).. All the staff were pleasant and helpful.

La Pieve Vecchia is one of our favourite restaurants. This evening was challenging for the staff, as the unsettled weather meant that customers were seated both outdoors and indoors. The staff coped admirably and the food and service were both excellent, as always. We look forward to returning soon.
