This restaurant serves a very creative fixed menu. The food is prepared by a chef who tries to combine his experience from various kitchens in the world. The three antipasti were delicious, the primo very special, the main course a nice piece of meat and the desert, a home made tiramisu we will never taste anything like that anymore. However, although the food was delicious, after dinner we felt we had eaten too much. Not because the portion sizes were too big, but ingredients used were pretty rich. Despite of the set menu, next time we go there we will skip at least the primo.

Review on Break houseNear The towns of Loro CIUFFENNA where we stayed, we found this great restaurant,, where they serve wonderful choices of seafood and meat dishes. Even if you don't know Italian well, their menu is easy to understand, sectioned in two categories under âmareâ (sea) and âterraâ (earth). Since they serve mainly to the local nearby workers, the food was excellent and very reasonably priced. The service was super good and we went twice for the lunch. Besides menu dishes, they have 4-5 different daily lunch options. My husband had daily special of oxe tail which he thought very well cooked. My seafood pasta, caramari first day and scampi second day were both delicious, clearly showing that they just prepared fresh pasta. We walked out with surprisingly small bill around â¬30 which included a glass of wine, beer and bottle of water. The resort we were staying was full of Americans in tiny dining room for dinner with almost no choice but meat dishes, this restaurantâs Seafood menu was god send and listening Italian languages spoken around our table made us feel that we are not on the carribean cruise. Dinner we had on the next day was memorable. With fish dish for me and great staked or my husband after great pasta dish. Chianti wine they recommended was excellent and again service was excellent. . I wish la Ferriera, the resort we stayed didn't have high priced mandatory half board so that we can experience more local restaurants like this. We had to forfeit one dinner, but it was worth it.

Recommended by our accommodation hosts, this restaurant-pizzeria has the best of both worlds. Good Tuscan cooking with seasonal truffles and meats, pasta, and a huge selection of pizzas. The mixed platter of vegetarian starters was excellent. And a lovely large terrace overlooking the river gorge made it a picturesque evening. Only one gripe: some inattentive service. We finished our starter in good time, but the waiters didn't come back to check on our progress, they apparently thought we were still eating the starters, and we were left waiting a long time before our mains. They were very apologetic and the mains then arrived within minutes. But it might be worth making it obvious when you've finished one course and are ready for the next. Otherwise, really good.

The history of La Ferriera started in the middle of the 18th Century. The stone arch at the entrance of the Residence dates back to 1875. The original use of La Ferriera, as the name suggests, was as an iron works, making agricultural equipment such as sp
The food here needs some attention to flavor. Breakfast was very good with a large variety of options.Cold cuts, cereal, eggs(Hb), and pastries.Greater coffee American. The dinner lacked imagination and flavor.Portions were small even to Italian standards. If it wasn't for the gracious service they would have trouble. However most of the guests are locked in to fixed meal, breakfast and dinner program. It needs a chef with some experience and spices.I was looking forward to your review my dear Richard George Shunany, you have been with us for three weeks and I don't know what you did not go down but we all work with great professionalism and then we did everything to satisfy your requests and despite everything repays so....let's tell the world that in the first week you complained that it was cold, we turned off the heat three weeks before because the temperature was very hot and turn on just because a complaint for us is really expensive but immediately we turned on the heating all the time that you've been here without arguing and arguing. You broke the fridge and immediately we rebuilt it without discussing and charging you any additional cost as they do all over the world. You came to dinner twice and I do not know what you could not have liked, you always took the same two things but anyway no problem, we can not please everyone and do for everyone the same effect, the important thing is that there is one alone and this was you. You are a very nice couple and I really felt sorry for all this, I expected a bit but honestly I thought you did not do it.Virginia

Really really nice restaurant, rafinated, with an beautifull localisation. The dishes are typical, really fine, but quite expensive. We were lucky to have a French-speaking waistress (a young Belgian girl who is really a good girl !).There is a last remaing warning to keep in mind : the chief is not in the kitchen...As soon you arrive in the restaurant, you can see many pictures of him. Maybe he his an important man in his collectivity, but the evening we went, one of the two usual cooker was unavailable, then the service was a little bit too long (we did not wait for the dessert). From my point of view, it would have be better for the restaurant that he spent the evening in the kitchen rather to look at the tables.

We went to the Cipresso because our landlady recommended the place; otherwise we might not have walked from the old town to this restaurant. It's not a far walk, we just would have overlooked it - and that would have been a shame, because dining at the Il Cipresso was a wonderful experience.I'd recommend having meat as your main dish (the prime are delicious, too, but beef is where the Cipresso really excels), and one of the many gorgeous wines from the wine list. The interior of the restaurant is not very traditional, but that doesn't hurt the quality of the food. The restaurant opens at 8pm, or at least it did when we were there.

Food is good: traditional Tuscan kitchen. Go there in summer and sit outside in small and cosy places under the olive trees.Difficult to find restaurant, but certainly worthwhile the effort to get there.

We visited this delightful restaurant in Loro Ciuffena on a Saturday evening and had a delicious meal at a very reasonable price. We chose the antipasto Toscano which had a range of salami, prosciutto, cheese truffles and bruschetta.Absolutely a treat of local flavours. We then chose to share a bream for 25 euros and this was a brilliant light flavour and presented excellently. The two deserts we chose were a chocolate soufflé which was decadently delicious and a poached pear in wine with pistachios.A great combination of flavours. Some local wines complimented the meal perfectly.Great value and highly recommended.

We booked dinner on the recommendation of the hotel we were staying in and it was fantastic. The hospitality was warm and generous , the food all freshly cooked and beautifully presented. The streak was very good and the duck superb. The wine recommendation complemented the food perfectly. In fact this was do good we went back on out last night and it was just as good the second time. Suggest get there at 19.30 and enjoy a drink as the sunsets - very highly recommended
