Four of us arrived for dinner at about 8 pm. Most tables reserved for reservations. We asked to sit inside. Got nice big table with candle lit on small side table. Server took drink order and brought assorted breads including some small bread rings. Two ordered Insalda Mista to come out first. For entree 2 ordered pasta with pomodoro sauce and 2 with meat sauce. We really enjoyed everything. We were too full for desert. Bill was correct.

We chose this restaurant from the reviews and because we wanted an authentic place near the port. It was excellent. Busy but efficently run. We had an octopus starter and clams, followed by pasta with sardines and wild fennel, and grilled squid and prawns. The wine advice was spot on too. Owned and staffed by women - friendly but professional. Booking essential.

We have tried the menu proposed by the restaurant, based on bluefish. Veru good choice: superb marinated anchoives with orange, very delicate and tasteful; spaghetti with sarda fish and fresh fennel, genuine; then roasted bluefish; good local wine, excellent price including lemon sorbetto. Really a good choice both the restaurant and the menu.

Nice location, especially because this part of the Portonovo beach/bay does see a sunset ... Busy restaurant (it is the high season and Sunday night), corteous and friendly staff. On the up side: good quality food, particularly the restaurantâs version of carbonara IS outstanding. Maybe the Spagethone Adriatico could use a bit more decisive spice ... frittura delâadriatico not bad, but also not too much diversity in it (on the veggie side almost only zucchini) on the seafood part mainly squid, little fish ... when the place fills up, there are not enough waiters to go ensure a good level of service, that is a pitty. Not sure, but we might be back - in the low season ...

Our taxi driver took us to this place saying its fish dishes are fantastic. He was not wrong. We were greeted as if we were their best customer, shown to a table in an already busy restaurant- at 8 pm, and it got busier, but that didnt reduce the quality of service.Whilst we were waiting for our meals we were served bread and oil, and chunks of pizza. I asked for the wine list and a recommendation for a local white, and it was really good, served cold and with a bucket of ice to keep it so.We both ordered fish soup as a starter. Tomato/fish broth, not as thick as chowder, but brimming with fish. Really tasty. He ordered the seafood risotto, and yes, the prawns were HUGE and they and theloads of other fish tasty. Rice nice and sticky. I ordered clam spageritti (it said typical pasta as an explanation). Luckilly for me and the other diners- Im not the cleverest spaghetti eater-the pasta was just about 7 cm long, pointed at both ends. Jam packed with clams in their shells, in a lovely slightly cheesey seafood with parsley sauce. We asked for cappuccinos, and got them with biscottis and a choice of a shot glass of Limoncello or Amaretto. Note the BOTTLES and shot glasses were put on the table so I guess we could have had both! MMMMM. With 2 bottles of fizzy water the bill came to 71 euros- a complete bargain. We asked if they could order us a taxi, which they did, and told us we could wait inside if we wished. Said taxi was there within 4 minsRecommended! Thanks for wanting to share your experience with Tripadvisor users.I'm glad you enjoed our cuisine. All staff thanks you for your kind words. See you soon! The seafood in this osteria is excellent. The pasta costs maybe two-third of price in Milan but the volume was almost double. Taste was, of course, brilliant!

We chose the tasting menu and it was good. The pasta dish with Sage & Rosemary pesto was extremely original and delicious as was the Ricotta soufflé antipasto. The rest was very good but not exceptional. One thing to mention: outstanding wine for the menu prices. We had a very good bottle for only 15 euros, something unthinkable in many other countries. All in all well worth the 30 euros for the 5 course tasting menu.salve, mi ricordo di voi, mi spiace che non sono riuscito ad interloquire con voi, mi ero accorto che qualcosa non vi andava a genio ma non ho avuto modo di capire cosa, io purtroppo non parlo inglese e non sapevo come intervenire, mi auguro che la prossima volta andrà meglio.Mauro C.

This little Bistrot is excellent in every way, from the warm service, tasteful interior, to the good value wine list and food offering. Go for the local red or white, as the selection here are amongst the best producers. We had a Montecappone Verdicchio dei Castelli Di Jesi "Federico II" and it was very good. Even the Piadina of vegetables was not the typical fare and exceptionally good. Definitely a place I want to return if I go to Ancona again in future. Be sure to make a reservation as this place is popular.
