Closed on Sunday.
We enjoyed classics of the local fish cuisine at Osteria Sara pleasantly and efficiently served. The hot and cold fish antipasti- even shared - were almost a meal in themselves. The waitress happily split our fish pasta and main course of grilled fish. A single order was quite sufficient for two. Even the coffee - served with a small slice of airy cake and amaro - was one of the best we recall outside of Naples.

We were there on Sunday in winter when few restaurants are open and got the last table at precisely 13:00. Order was taken at 13:20, wine and water arrived at 13:40 and bread at 13:50. At 14:10 our food arrived which was 3 orders for 3 people: soup with legumes and seafood, vegetable lasagna and a seafood frittura mista. Waitress never came back although she passed by our table many times. Asked for check at 15:30 and finally got it about 20 minutes later. Only 8 small tables to serve, so what takes so long? Soup should be already made, lasagna just heated up and how long to cook frittura mista? Great portions and delicious food. But really long wait time. Good thing we had all afternoon. Plan to spend 3 hours. Not particulary friendly service either. I truly only like to give good reviews but the service brings down the good part.

Nice location, especially because this part of the Portonovo beach/bay does see a sunset ... Busy restaurant (it is the high season and Sunday night), corteous and friendly staff. On the up side: good quality food, particularly the restaurantâs version of carbonara IS outstanding. Maybe the Spagethone Adriatico could use a bit more decisive spice ... frittura delâadriatico not bad, but also not too much diversity in it (on the veggie side almost only zucchini) on the seafood part mainly squid, little fish ... when the place fills up, there are not enough waiters to go ensure a good level of service, that is a pitty. Not sure, but we might be back - in the low season ...
