A beautifully restored old post house where you eat very well from abundant platters of traditional local cuisine. All their salamis are wonderful, as are their pastas and grilled meats. Generally you get a list of the day's specials and you settle in for a feast. In warm weather you can sit outside on the terrace. For kids there is actually a petting zoo with farm animals next door. At night you can just see the lights of Arcevia twinkling in the distance. Run by a charming couple who speak English too!

Very good Italian cuisine, varied choice, friendly service, try a flamed dish, Angelo the popular owner takes care of it.

Stopped here for lunch, the centro storico of Arcevia otherwise devoid of attractive options. New-ish building on the western edge of town centre, up a steep driveway. No sign of other guests but we were warmly received and a simple but tasty lunch was prepared, very friendly but not obtrusive service. Very inexpensive.

I am very lucky in so far as, my sister lives in Arcevia, just down the road from La Baita. For more years than I care to remember, whenever we visit Le Marche or my sister, there is the obligatory pilgrimage here. Set in the hills, it is one of my favourite places. OK, so I have eaten in smarter restaurants serving fancy, posh, and sometimes better quisine, but taken as a whole, eating here is just so enjoyable. The place is always packed with locals so that just about tells you all you need to know (except, try the mixed fried meats with cream balls!). Off the beaten track, not close to any tourist destination, but if you are ever within striking distance, well worth a visist.

The farm is nestled among the hills 25 km from the sea of Senigallia and about 20 from the Frasassi caves, is surrounded by medieval villages and is located three km from Piticchio, one of the nine castles of Arcevia. The old farmhouse, recently renovated
Cristina and Maurizio love cooking, and you taste it.everything is home made and every season they invent a " new" dish. They twist traditional dishes and hence differenciate themselves from the standard menus. The only restaurant with a culinary hamburger! our guests like to go there for lunch, children can play outside.Go there!

We stayed in the region and tried different restaurants every night and this became our favourite. Its situated a bit remote but really worth visiting. Very friendly staff, beautiful surroundings and the food was very good. Prices were very reasonable which made it a even nicer visit. A place to return to!

Wonderful experience! The quality of the food was excellent. Both meat eaters and vegetarians left the table very happy. Finally, the service is stunning, the staff is funny, nice and caring and the castle village of Loretello is simply lovely. Worth of a long trip to visit! Meraviglioso, con quantità abbondantissime e di ottima qualità . Forse il piatto più amato al tavolo è stato il nodino ai tre pepi, ma andate sempre sul sicuro. Consigliatissimo.

We were lucky to get a table on a busy Saturday lunchtime, and loved the place. Quite traditional, full of Italians having sociable multi-course lunches, many greeted personally by the staff; cheerful and friendly. I ordered the crescia with cold meats, cheeses and cooked spinach as a starter, and it was so large that we could hardly finish it between two without making another course (already ordered) an impossibility. All the food was good, and apple cake, nut tart and limoncello came gratis at the end. We forced ourselves....Just the kind of place you hope to find, in a small Italian town in the countryside.
