The restaurant is situated in a small square of bars and restaurants and is clearly the most upmarket but we found it a bit souless. Service was just about the acceptable side of sullen. Food was good quality and well cooked, delicious veal fillet steak, but as another reviewer said garnish of a few chips and half a roast pepper shows lack of imagination in the kitchen.Quite a nice hot starter of baby broad beans with iberico ham is big enough to share.Asked for a bottle of red and an excellent Rioja appeared and reasonably priced.Like a lot of restaurants in the area not much English spoken but there's an English version of the menu.Food good, ambience non-existant so on that basis would not return.

Recommended by a local business friend, this restaurant was up there with the best. Traditional Spanish building and decor set the scene for a great steak dinner experience. A large beef entrecot, a barbequed steak and the owner/chefs recommendation of an appropriate local wine was enjoyed immensely and for an expensive but realistic 51 euros. This is a specialised meat lovers delight where you can actually choose your piece of meat and then have it served sizzling and aromatic. Owned and run by the same couple for years El Cortijo is a local standout.

Very welcoming from the start, and a good atmosphere. After our friendly waiter had fully explained the different types of steak on offer, we opted to have one steak butterflied to have a portion each, each one differently and perfectly cooked to order. It came with the usual suspects. We ordered a salad starter that was enormous and although it was very nice it was not really necessary as the mains were generously portioned. Have to say that it was, for both of us, the best steak we've had the pleasure of eating in years. A thoroughly enjoyable experience, one which we hope to repeat in the future.
