We had a lovely 3 course meal here on Valentines Day. The service and food were both very good and the portions are massive. The restaurant had been nocely decorated as well. A lovely atmosphere.

Visited here on the August 15 Holiday without making a reservation and luckily were given a table right on the beach line. Nearly all the other tables were reserved. The food and service excellent taking into account how busy it became. We had Mussels, chicken breast and the amazing squid cooked in olive oil, which itâs a good job the waitress told us it was enough for two as it was a whole squid with potatoes served a lovely olive oil sauce. Whatâs not to love, a good meal, sea view and people watching!

Stumbled across this restaurant for lunch. It is both a restaurant and a fishmongers. Everything we had was very well cooked and delicious; red prawns, grilled squid, roe and a tomato salad with bonito (cured/smoked tuna). Very much recommend appears to open until 4pm then shuts until 8pm for dinner. Very much worth a visit.

Reataurant full of charm. Good seasonal food.
This hidden gem, set in the heart of the small Hotel Tikar, is certain to please. Arrive early for a drink in the small and charming poolside garden â and then find everything equally perfect from then on.The restaurant is quiet, beautiful and attended by the owner and staff with great efficiency. The menu is comprehensive enough to satisfy everyone, yet short enough to know that what arrives on your plate has been cooked fresh and with care. We found the salmon, chicken stuffed with Roquefort cheese and pork wellington beyond comparison. And the set menu price â though more than you would pay for ordinary fare in an ordinary setting â good value. Our companions were âbigâ in the world of household-name TV cookery programmes. Their verdict? âWeâll be backâ. Enough said.

If you want tapas or something simple like pasta, chicken etc this is a good place to eat. Great view overlooking the beach, met does get busy late evenings and Spanish lunchtimes. A little English is spoken but never a problem and the staff are friendly.

Whilst specialising on fried fish this place also does much more, with even a few veggie options. - fried aubergine was delicious. The clams were fresh and lovely. Calamaritoes wonderful. Efficient and friendly service. All very reasonably priced.

Nice place, good service, very limited menu, fish as a starter and a main course, only one dressing/sauce, just tomatoes as a vegetable, as dessert prepackaged icecream out of the freezer. That is all right but prices are comparable to Boracay, the restaurant next door and Boracay has more style and more choice. So, the fish at El Espigon was very good but we prefer Boracay.

So we visited twice while on holiday neither booked but both times accommodated by a very friendly northern lady (Iâm guessing NE but donât want to insult her). Quick summary Ribs excellent, Cauliflower Dahl has great taste and textures, pork in cider vinegar sauce well cooked and great flavours, the goats cheese salad for starters is well balanced, the chicken tandoori juicy and tasty, the stone mess and the crumble both excellent. Service great, wine selection good and the cheap rose is brilliant at â¬10 and having drunk it in a Wine Society case and loved it for a lot more we were happy. 3 courses for â¬15 is just silly cheap and when the foods this good we would recommend a visit but definitely book.

Was looking forward to new Mexican restaurant on playa but reality was so disappointing. Very small portions, some overcooked, others undercooked, much more expensive than Don Pancho next door was vastly inferior food and rushed service. All style over substance, felt rushed, too pretentious and way overpriced. Canella means âscoundrelâ, enough said !! Will not return
