Saturday night and only one other table occupied. Disappointing, the waiter served one main course wrongly tripe instead of suckling pig. All the main courses were a reconstruction, not brilliant, lobster risotto far too salty, monk fish bland. Starters were nice and desserts ok. This use to be a classic Spanish restaurant why change?Thank you for your opinion. Sorry because of the disappointed of the waiter. We try every day be more brillant, but new trendys can not love everybody. Anyway, we have traditional main courses that you can choice next time. Trank you for visiting us

Es un local antiguo, con manteles de papel y en el que uno se sirve hasta el agua. La comida toda casera: migas, caracoles, carne en salsa, manitas de cerdo, patatas fritas, morcilla, croquetas..te echas cuanto quieras las veces que quieras. De postre suele haber natillas, arroz con leche, pan de calatrava, alguna pieza de fruta.. también puedes tomarte un café o infusión para finalizar. 15⬠por persona y los niños 10â¬. No se puede dar más por menos

Hemos ido a comer dos familias con niños. Optamos por el menú uva las niñas pequeñas nos permitió pedirles medio menú. La comida estaba muy buena, pero sobre todo destaco la atención recibida por el camarero, la rapidez en el servicio y la limpieza. Los baños, aún siendo viejos, no da asco, se huele a lejÃa y se ve que están muy limpios. El camarero fue en todo momento muyv amable h atento. Comer 8 personas con primero, segundo y postre Y las bebidas y el pan, (con la opcion de repetir) nos salió por 75â¬. Creo que el precio es bastante económico.

Apart from the variety of tapas (I love the fish called Gallo Pedro) the food itself is probably on of the best in Berja. You can have fantastic grilled meat or vegetable and I bet you won't leave hungry... Worth trying it. Ah! They also offer a 2 course 10⬠menu (drink, bread and desert or coffee included) with at least 3 plates to choose from.

As I live in berja it's another bar I have been too a good few times. Nice food and drink good staff had a few Xmas parties there mostly ex pats. But very enjoyable

I was looking for a good restaurant in a area where you can find easily the typical tapas bars instead of more dietetic foods. After a few hours driving and watching the scenery and the almond trees blooming, we were in for a good meal. The chef was waiting for us and he cook for us an excellent meals according to our requirement. We had a starter, warm home bread, a trou normand which is a lemon sherbet, a beef tajine and a oven baked banana. Wine and Pedro Jeminez was served as well as 2 coffees. All was very good and serve in a very sympatic manner.I recommend you reserve before going as the chef is welling to prepare the food at your taste and need time to cook.There is no private parking and the city of Berja has implemented a one way street policy a bit strict. Better park close to the municipality and walk.

We needed somewhere to grab a late lunch and this cafe is part of our small hotel. We just had a mixed salad, calamari and fries but all were good and moderately priced.

Excellent tapas. The staff are superb. Jonathan, the hipster-looking one is nice and efficient always with a smile on his face. Try the Torta de solomillo, callos, caracoles, carrillada or the mini ox burguer. We often go there and always leave fully satisfied. A must go
