Amazing restaurant and great staff. Not cheap but great for special occasions. Sadly on our last visit our ribeye steak was not good. However we were offered a replacement and discount without any haggling so all credit to them. Wouldnât be put off visiting again. As Iâm sure the steak would normally be fantastic - we were just a bit unlucky. Wine glasses were huge!

On July 11, 1988 begins the voyage of our galleon aground on the shores of the Mediterranean. It seems like yesterday and we have been 28 years of experience in the kitchen. The good work of these years has made us a benchmark in Torrevieja's gastronomy,
We popped for a drink and stayed for lunch. We had a look at the selection of tapas on offer, all excellent, but we asked for fried anchovy's . No problem, we were told.We sat outside, wine served. Followed by a dish of freshly prepared fish. Delicious. Much more than just a tapa. Cloth napkins, not paper, 1st class service and by the sea.Highly recommended.Thank you very much for your comment. Your opinion helps us improve every day and always offer the best service. We wait for you!

We visited as guests of a friend for a night of entertainment and a meal. The evening was over subscribed and although the entertainment was excellent the bar system left a lot to be desired. Whether this is the norm as the venue does put on major horse shows as entertainment but we had to attend an inadequately staffed bar to firstky pay cash for our "monopoly money" vouchers in order to.purchase.our drinks. Then when the undoubtedly wrong amount of vouchers have been purchased you are "paid" in "monopoly money" vouchers again as change..meaning you can only redeem them on site..similar to playing Bingo in Blackpool!!!The food was good and as I said our entertainment was 1st class it was just 0 bar that left a lot to be desired. Maybe that was down to numbers and the fact it was 99% british audience so frequent visits to.the bar were inevitable!!

We visited La Mar Sala after reading the recommendations on T/A and we were not disappointed. We were served by a young lady called Esperanza (Hope in English) who was able to explain in good English the vast selection of fish dishes that she had on sale that day. She was also able to tell us what ingredients that had been used by the owner to make them as they are all homemade. We decided on a salmon dish and another fish dish similar to cod along with 2 large peppers stuffed rice and herbs. Esperanza advised us on how long to heat them and what fantastic choices we made. The dishes were fantastic, both full of subtle flavours that enhanced the dish but did not overpower the fish itself.Esperanza talked us through this numerous other dishes that she had on offer which included a fresh fish stock that has been highly recommended. I asked if she could recommend somewhere locally to buy paella and she told us that we could order it the day before from her and that on a Saturday they sold it as one of the regular choices; it looks like I'll be paying La Mar Sala a visit next Saturday morning. They are open Monday to Saturday closing between 14:00-14:30 and I would advise getting there earlier to ensure you get to pick from the full selection of the day.As a final note Esperanza was a real bonus as her knowledge of both the products and the English language were so helpful;THANK YOU

This restaurant was recomended by a friend. We booked a table the day after the heavy storms and were told that if the storms were still about that evening they would only be serving inside.Fortunately the rain held off and we had a really top class meal. The ambiance was that of a top London restaurant and the food was excellent. Not cheap but you get what you pay for.The bill for 4 was about £200 but that was for a three course meal and all three courses were top quality.Great restaurant for a special occasion.

This is a really difficult place to review. The location is simply wonderful overlooking the sea. It has an up-market feel but is not remotely pretentious. It offers a wonderful menu and some of our dishes (there were 6 of us) were simply sublime. The salmon dish and the fillet steak stand out as exceptional beautifully cooked and presented. The staff were exceptionally friendly with some diners, who may have been regular diners but less friendly with others, not rude but as we were spending a fair amount of money perhaps we expected to be recognised as valued customers. Actually paying was a little problematic as the instructions on the machine are not multi-lingual and it is easy to make a mistake. The staff could do more to assist non those not fluent in Spanish. It is excellent in so many ways as outlined above but without the slight irritation regarding the staff would without any doubt be excellent.

Went with my parents and the family. Service was fab, I had a tandoori mixed grill that was really tasty. Everything about it was spot on. Hope to try one of their Thai curries before we go home. We sat looking out over the beach and sea, well worth a visit if youâre in the area. The lollies and shots went down well at the end.
