Beautiful big restaurant. Lovely decor, well laid tables. We had the menu of the day at â¬15. What let it down was poor service. We had to ask waitress what the menu was besides paella was all she offered us verbally. Eventually she told us we could also have chops or fish instead. Also had to ask for bread, aioli, tomato. If no written menu is available ok, but please then give people all the choices available. Starters were small mixed salad not enough for 4, calamares and cheese with white sausage. We had seafood paella which was average. Others had lamb chops which weren't originally offered. Won't rush back.

Prawns in the starter were mushy in texture, I know they were frozen as I saw another portion being prepped. Suspect they were probably pre cooked also. Squid starter was verging on tough although flavour was good. Sea bass main course was a very small single fillet. John dory in black tempura was very tasty but accompanying squid rings required a steak knife. Service passable, wine very good.

Just returned from another lovely week in the village. The amazing greeting and welcome back was lovely. The staff are great and the menu is very tempting. I've had the English breakfast in the past and was lovely this time had the scrambled egg and tomatoe baguette and my friend had the same but with sausage coffee nice and eggs cooked to perfection. They offer a quiz night and also some Moroccan food some needs to be booked in advanced. Don't miss this place and enjoy the lovely welcome that awaits you What can we say but thank you for such a lovely review. We are here to serve and please and our customers are so nice and complimentary. Our tapas and Moroccan menu has certainly boosted our presence here and our takings as people are quite surprised at what we have on offer now. We will continue to give our best service and food to all who pass by and look forward to seeing you here once again.

We popped down last Sunday for some drinks and were so surprised by the standard of food and service. As we were booked in elsewhere for lunch we just had drinks but what we saw coming out of the kitchen made us regret our prior decision. We are planning a return trip later this year to have a proper meal and may even book accommodation as it is a beautiful location.

Same owner since Phase 2 La Marina was built in 1998 makes this probably the longest running restaurant business on the urbanization, which explains how good and reliable the food is. Filling portions of quality fresh produce, well cooked to order. Traditional Spanish flavours and holiday favourites. E8.95 for a three-course Menu of the Day. E14.95 for 200g Fillet Steak. Sirlion steak less than E10. My favourite is still from the Menu del Dia of Garlic Mushrooms to start which arrives sizzling in the clay dish, followed by Chicken Cordon Bleu. Never disappointed. Lovely and friendly staff and the Chef/Owner Santi always pops out from the kitchen to say "Hi" when he gets chance.

The place is situated right on the beach front. We ordered coffee and pasties which were very nice. A pleasant placed to relax and enjoy the view.

I had looked forward to trying this restaurant and ten of us visited for dinner. We had an assortment of croquetas for starters which were fine. Sea bass and tuna were not available despite being on the menu. The only fish to choose from was merluza or cod. The waiter told one of us that merluza was similar to sea bass which is not the case. My husband had entrecôte steak which at â¬25 he expected to be excellent but was bland and he brought 1/3 of it home for our dog as it was fatty and gristly. Some of us had fillet steak which was nice. I had Iberian pork which I expected to be in one piece but was in little strips which were tender but some pieces were fatty. The wines were ok. Desserts were very nice but when I requested cream,I was told that they had none. Altogether the meal, without a tip was â¬337. Weâve had much nicer meals which were much cheaper elsewhere. Reading all the other recent reviews I wonder if we were just unlucky ?Dear Ann,We are sorry not to have fulfilled your expectations, our maximum wish is that our customers enjoy your visit to our restaurant and we invite you to come back whenever you want and give us another opportunity, we will be happy to receive you again.Best Regards.

If you had any reason to complain about this place you're expectations are clearly too high. Been on numerous occasions in the last three or four years and it has always been excellent but last week's visit surpassed them all. This was due to opting for the pre-bookable BBQ lamb dish. Absolutely amazing is the only way to describe the offering and just when you thought the various tapas they offer along with the fried potatoes were to die for, this just out trumps them!Wine from the barrel as well, what's not to like!!

Managed to get a table without a booking. Starter was bland as was the accompanying chips and salad served with the steak. The quality of the latter more than made up for any shortcomings. The steak was a top quality cut, cooked well and by far the nicest steak Iâve eaten in La Marina during this holiday.
