This location is pretty convenient to get to from the Juan Santamaria Airport. With it taking close to 5 hours to get through customs, we were extremely hungry by the time we were leaving the airport. We found this delicious restaurant which was not a long drive from the airport rental car facility. This location does not have their own personal parking lot, therefore you have to look for street parking if you plan on driving to this location. We were fortunate to find plenty of street parking. Due to all of our personal belongings being in the car, I was a little paranoid about having the car parked on the street. There was a local neighborhood gentleman who assisted in finding and guiding the parrallel parking process. I tipped the gentleman before heading to the restaurant hoping he would watch my car, but also requested a tip after (I guess because all her stuff was still in the car). The area seemed fine and may have been worried for no reason.Although the food may not be authentic Costa Rican food, it was very delicious. It felt like the restuarant catered more towards foreigners then locals, but it seemed like there was a mix of both. We got an order of Fish Tacos and the Boss's Favorite - they both were very excellent and highly reccomended. The homemade hot sauce definitely provided a nice kick. The owner greeted us very warmly and told us his story on how he was inspired to open the restaurant, including sharing with us his recommendations. The food came out quick so it didn't take time a tremendous time away from our long drive ahead.I expect this will be on our agenda the next time we visit Costa Rica!

In this restaurant prices are high and service is terrible(slow and not courteous) and the food is not that good. I can't say it is bad but for the price you pay it should better. When I went there I ordered an appetizer, the restaurant was empty, and I wait over 20min then I called the waiter and complaint his response was: - it is not my fault it is the kitchen's fault. The main course took over 30min to arrive. I have not reason to return to this place ever.

Went there last night for dinner. Steaks are good and cooked on fire grill so the taste is excellent. Tacos are excellent also just like in Mexico. Drinks are good and sometimes they have buy one get one free special. Just keep an eye on your check though as I was charged for both the drinks till I pointed the error and it was quickly corrected. Sit outside, and enjoy the views and breeze.

Paletas and Mexican ice cream! It was like being home for a few minutes, at least for as long as the ice cream lasted :) You may not be able to get real Mexican food in Costa Rica, BUT you can get real Mexican popsicles and ice cream. There's a flavor for everyone: passion fruit, tamarind, lime with tequila, piña colada, the list goes on. Give it a try!
