The excellent reviews and location made this an easy choice for us as we headed from the airport to Jaco in search of a quick bite. The food was authentic, fresh, delicious and the service was excellent! The empanadas were fantastic and harder to come by in many local Costa Rican restaurants (we learned after eating here). This was such a wonderful and enjoyable start to our vacation!

We drove from Puntarenas to San Jose and happened to stop here on the way!Reminded: Nachos, tipico fish (comes with fried fish, rice, beans, plantanes) and their amazing fish ceviche! You wonât be sorry!This is not a fancy restaurant. Very basic and simple. Most is the locals that work there do not speak English and menus are Spanish only, but we survived!

Food was amazing, staff very attentive and the view was amazing! I saw my first Red Macaw there. It's a must try for all in the area.

If you cross Orotina and don't know where to go to eat, try the Tropical where you will enjoy simple but good quality food at very affordable price. Details speak for themselves when you want to enjoy a simple salad adding 100 % virgin olive oil and real balsamic vinegar. If on top, you ask for an espresso and you get a delicious Lavazza coffee, you realize that even in a remote Costa rican town, people have good taste and devotion to details.
