Reviews on Latin food in La Fortuna de San Carlos, Province of Alajuela, Costa Rica. La Fortuna de San Carlos is at the center of an array of geological wonders. The nearby Arenal is Costa Rica's most active volcano, routinely bursting with lava and ash, and the Catarata de La Fortuna is a waterfall pouring from a seventy-meter cliff. The Tabacon Hot Springs are a relaxing intermission in the midst of the various spectacles, and the Leaves and Lizards Arenal Volcano Cabin Retreat is a blissful end to any day's excursion.

This place had the best Casados we had anywhere in Costa Rica, and also the cheapest! The staff were incredibly friendly and remembered us when we ended up going back because it was so good the first time round.

The best Gallo Pinto in town! Local heartwarming, delicious food with a genuine customer service. Try the best breakfasts, amazing casados and the best Costa Rican typical food. Alvaro and family will welcome you like in their home.
The service is friendly. You get your own sodas from a refrigerator. We ordered 4 entrees and a nachos to share. The food came out very slow. It was around 2pm, there was a large group of 8 ( already served) and 3 more outside. It took a long time to get the nachos (so long we were thinking everything would be served at once) then another long time for our meals. During our time sitting there a table of 5 was seated. They got their food shortly after we got ours. Hmmmm. Seems odd. It wasn't busy but we were there 1 1/2 hours. The food was good but not great. The beef casado was tough. Like shoe leather to cut. The chicken much better. The shrimp and rice was good and tasty (reminded us of Cajun spice). Their version of " chicken parmesan" was a bread chicken breast. Not parmesan. Maybe they don't get it. More like a German schnitzel. So just ok food. Nice but extremely slow service. They take credit cards. Indoor and outdoor seating. Fans only, no air.

Our cuisine features a contemporary concept, influenced by the classic European cuisine, Asia and Latin America, from an eloquent and modern perspective. Our steaks are locally produced, with very high farming standards; and our seafood and fish dishes ar
This food is beyond delicious and the atmosphere is really nice. Service is very welcoming and helps with recommendations. We ordered the Grandma's Chicken in Banana Leaves and Risotto with Chicken and Shrimp and weren't disappointed. The Chardonnay was a great addition to the Risotto. The food was so delicious here, we came twice! My son and I had the chicken quesadillas, husband had the traditional chicken and rice. The food was so fresh and delicious, presented so beautifully. Service was wonderful and the prices were so reasonable ($32 total with tip - no alcohol) . We came back two days later and all ordered the same dishes. We highly recommend Tierra Mia!

Dear Friends My name is Martin Gonzales, I am the chef of Chifa la Familia Feliz. This Peruvian restaurant offer you the two main peruvian cuisine: The peruvian Criollo or traditional Cuisine and Chifa. We every dish in the menu we offer a vegetarian opti
We stumbled into this restaurant by chance and the Peruvian-Chinese mix sounded interesting. We were greeted with a lot of enthusiasm by one of the waiters and then again by the manager. It was done in way they think U.S. visitors must appreciate, but for my taste way too much. I appreciate a little attentation, however the waiter's fake grin and constant interventions were rather annoying. I really liked the good vegetarian choice on the menu. The food was quite okay, a bit pricey though, however nothing special. The thing that saves this review was the Pisco Sour which was really good.

We offer costa rican typical food, great prices and great service.
Great family friendly restaurant with fantastic service from Paola and generally good value. Unfortunately my sea bass special which was 3 times as expensive as my wifeâs casado, was overdone. That was all that stopped me from giving this place 5 stars. Otherwise my wife attests to having the best cup of coffee in our whole time Costa Rica.
