This beach is great for families with young children because the car park is just a stone throw away from the beach so you don't burn your feet walking on the hot sand. The beach is clean and sea is clear. There are a few bars and restaurants near by if you get hungry after sunbathing all day. My kids love it here!

Returning from the beach or a tour of our magnificent territory will definitely be a stop in our welcoming locale, Regina D'Alabastro (located in the small square next to the Municipal Library of Menfi) to delight your Vs palate with good food based on Lo
We wanted to have a local experience and set out a few miles from our deluxe accommodations at La Foresteria, to explore the nearby town of Menfi. We asked an elderly gentlemen on the street where to eat and he directed us to the pizzeria, Regina d"Alabstro. We enjoyed a variety of different foodsâ¦caprese salad, artichokes, sicilian pizza, pasta with swordfish, veal chop, spaghetti bolognese. Somewhat of a smorgasbord, but very satisfying and tasty for a very reasonable price. Considering our language barrier, service was excellent. Always adds to the travel experience to eat where and what the locals eat.

Had dinner twice and both times the pizzas were excellent. And reasonably priced. Drinks on the menu were not all available. Friendly atmosphere, most people seem to know each other... mainly locals. This restaurant is not on the beach and is not fancy, but definitely serves good pizzas.

Menfi probably doesn't feature on every visitor's itinerary to Sicily, but if you happen to find yourself in this neck of the woods, check out Fooddie. Signage is discreet, the blinds are pulled down over the windows, and maybe the lighting is a touch bright, but it's well worth a visit. Once inside, it's a friendly, laid back restaurant, with great seafood, a decently priced wine list and generous portions. The octopus salad starter scored highly, with lovely fresh octopus prepared in a delicious marinade (large enough to qualify as as main course in a London restaurant). The swordfish main was beautifully tender, uniformly and perfectly cooked. Service is good, the chef takes a personal interest in his customer's experience and there's an easy local vibe. Give it a try - even your wallet will enjoy the experience.

This restaurant has been recommended by my boyfriend's sister who goes to Menfi every summer with the entire family. It's a great choice! We truly enjoyed our evening! Il Vigneto is a hotel with a quite modern look where they also produce their wine. The restaurant has a very nice terrace, looking over the patio. Great service. The food is very good and fresh. We ordered octopus salad, muscles in a tomato sauce as a starter. For main course we decided to try their specialities. Definitely is a fish couscous (they didn't make it every day so please make sure they have it on the menu) and farfalle pasta with shrimps and orange sauce. Delicious! Interesting and reasonable wine list full of local producers. Very pleasant evening ! Highly recommend this place.

The day after we arrived in Cefalu, Sicily, we drove to Menfi to meet, for the first time, newly discovered relatives of my wife. They were so happy to meet us, and we were very excited as well. They drove us down to this beautiful place, not far from the beach, and treated us to the most wonderful meal we had in our 3 week Sicilian/Italian vacation. We had a 3 course meal and the food just kept on coming. First there were some finger foods typically Sicilian, then mussels on a plate of Sicilian pasta with chunks of swordfish, and a tasty shrimp on a bed of risotto. The next plate had a different type of shrimp, with a swordfish steak and the best calamari I have ever tasted. The wine was made in the local Mandrarossa winery, and was the first white wine I have ever liked. "Costadune Grecanico " is all I can remember, and I wish that I could find it here in the U.S. The restaurant is beautiful inside and out. It is roomy and can accomodate large groups (and there is outside dinlng as well). This is a destination we will visit again.

Our Restaurant Is Waiting For You To Come And Taste Our Delicious Dishes Based On Fresh Fish, Mussels, Shrimp, Tuna And Squid, All Accompanied By A Splendid Sea View In A Romantic Atmosphere!
Situated right on the sea front this little restaurant is a gem. The only problem is the size of the portion........too big but very enjoyable. I had the mussel soup which was an enormous plate of very tasty mussels and then a selection of "fried fish" again too much to eat. My wife had the fish tartare for starters which was delicious and seafood pasta again which she thoroughly enjoyed. A very enjoyable experience all round

A restaurant that is an extension of our home kitchen. A space where chef Angelo Pumilia reinterprets the fabric of our family tradition, the pure flavours of Sicily, the products of local farmers and growers and the infinite food culture of this magical
Overall the experience was bittersweet at Foresteria. Setting is great, wine menu as well. Food was ok but not as good as expected and we found the prices inconsistent with the quality of the food and service (compared to other local less fancy restaurants). In addition, one of us felt unwell as a waitress confused hazelnuts with peanuts in a dish while that person is allergic to peanuts. Needless to say, he did not have a great time after that ... usually in these situations restaurant compensate their guests for the inconvenience, which was not the case here unfirtunately ...

We ate there the first night we stayed at the hotel where this restaurant is located and came back for more! The calamari fritto is top top, the pasta made with a local grain in fish ragu is sublime, and the fresh fish is like no other. On top of that, the excellent waiter is really knowledgeable about local wines.

Our hotel recommended this restaurant that is situated right in the fishing harbour. We came here on spec at lunchtime and were given the last table. The starter of seafood salad was marinated seafood and excellent although small as it was 'fine dining'. This was followed by a very good seafood risotto and a mixed salad that we shared. Very good service and a reasonable Sicilian wine. Not the cheapest of places at â¬110 for lunch with no desert but thoroughly enjoyable.
