Reviews on Mediterranean food in Licata, Province of Agrigento, Italy. Licata (Greek: Φιντίας; Latin: Phintias or Plintis; formerly also Alicata) is a city and comune located on the south coast of Sicily, at the mouth of the Salso River (the ancient Himera), about midway between Agrigento and Gela. It is a major seaport developed at the turn of the twentieth century, shipping sulphur, the refining of which has made Licata the largest European exporting centre, and asphalt, and at times shipping cheese.

Giovanni, Teresa and Vania are very attentive to the choice of local products, rigorously outlawing any "star" from the menu. The fish is always fresh and cooked with the respect that only a family of marine traditions can recognize.the atmosphere is very
We are dinner here and it was very good. I can imagin the view but didn't see it because it was night. We all had pizza and it was very good thin crust with fresh toppings and a tasty sauce. We started with an antipasta mixed sea food plate and that was very good also. It's a great roomy place and I'd love to go back during a warm summer evening and nurse a beer for a while. The service was excellent, polite and fast. Recommend!

We thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Sardasalata, the service was attentive and swift and the pizza, while not napoletana, was very tasty and creative. We went for a (1) margherita with burrata and condensed tomato sauce made to be the essence of Sicilian tomatoes (2) culatello with pistachio and (3) porchetta with spicy olives. The choice was not easy, but everyone was satisfied. The pizza dough is probably made with wholemeal flour, very tasty but hard to eat in one go, we had to ask for a box to take one home. Definitely recommendable.

Tiny restaurant, tucked away off a Main Street in Licata recommended by a local. Really friendly and fun staff. No menu, just an explanation of what we would get, though we werenât really sure what that was going to be except we would get fish. It turned out to be share plates of prawns, octopus, muscles, Mediterranean vegetables - all delicious!Local beer and wine.

In the heart of the city centre, Cantunera is both a bistrot and a café: this means you can drink or eat at any time. Also, we love music and arts, so come to discover a little part of Sicily's soul though our little dreamy corner.
Best service. Best wines and drinks. The Tiramisu is the best, I have ever eat. The steaks are delicious. We will come back

For lunch or dinner, the restaurant offers a cuisine with specialties based on fresh local fish and selected fine meats. In the evening you can taste a pizza cooked in a stone oven with wisdom ready to delight your palate. Local site 3 km from the histori

Random stop with my 2 friends in a motorbike road trip round Sicily. Despite us looking like street urchins in leathers, this restaurant welcomes us with open arms. We told them what we wanted and they adjusted the tasting menu to suit our tastes. Every dish was amazing but the thin mini pizza style starter and the fluffy mozzarella were special. I canât say enough good things about the service and food . A must try if youâre in the region
