While driving along the Galician coast, we stopped at this recommended restaurant. They serve an unusual dish - percebes. We had never imagined that you could actually eat these barnacles that you see stuck to boats and seawalls. They were a little difficult to eat - like pulling out meat from small snails. They were even stranger to look at. They tasted like the sea from which they came. We also had an octopus and clam dish. Dessert was a delicious yogurt with homemade strawberry jam. The bill was just under 50 euros.

Came here for a drink one evening and it looked lovely and was really cheap so decided to come back the following evening for a meal.We had prawns and sole plus a bottle of white wine. The quantity was very good and the prawns excellent taste. The sole was of generous proportions, tasted great but was quite solid and I needed to work hard to get it off the bone and skin. However the whole lot came to less than â¬40 for everything so was great value for money !The building and setting was wonderful and a real pleasure to be there.

Lobster with rice ("Bogavante con arroz") is the signature dish of this restaurant. Be prepared for fresh and tasty lobster in heaps of yellow saffron rice. The razor clams starter was fantastic. Still, a few vegetables would have been good and we've had better value for money food in Santiago. But overall a nice and enjoyable experience.

Had already eaten a lot of seafood during the week, so felt like a little bit of pizza and wasn't disappointed. The crust was good and the delicious chorizo made the meal. The service was friendly and the menu had a lot of variety. One person in the party tried to order the paella, but was out of luck as the prep time was too long.

Nice place to go with the family, beautiful sites over the bay, we have fresh fish, shellfish, and a great rice with lobster
A busy local place for lunch or dinner. Fresh seafood, good selection. The proprietor speaks good English. They were understaffed when we were there and we had to wait about 15 minutes for them to set up a table for us. Upstairs is a pleasant room with a nice view but it is a smoking room so we chose downstairs, in the bar. They don't understand about salads here, don't bother getting one, it's just lettuce with a slice of (bad) tomato and some onion. The peppers al Padron are good. Not much else in the way of vegetables on offer. May be better than most restaurants in town.

The locals only take drinks, I had understood after ordered a seafood rice. The bread is not artisan like the most restaurants in Galicia. The seafood were not fresh, the quality of the rice was very poor and the price do not worth it. Only eat outcomers. The worst meal in Galicia. However, the service was good, the waiters were very nice.We are sorry to disagree with your experience, but I must tell you that the bread comes from the only bakery in Louro and is made every morning. You are misinformed, as in most restaurants in Galicia, this is the bread that is consumed and the rustic bread or what you call artisan will only find it in local specialties and prior announcement in the food menu. We at no time announce that the bread that accompanies the rations was artisan. It is white bread of the day. As for the seafood, I'm sorry to tell you that it's from the Muros market and it's bought every afternoon every day. He had only to go to our kitchen to check it and we had taught them. The rice we use is round rice or pump category that has much more quality than the shiny rice and is healthier. Thank you very much for your visit and we felt that you could not appreciate the quality of our cuisine. A greeting !.

We (a party of 4) had 3 starters and were happy that the friendly waitress advised us not to take more because otherwise our main dishes would have been to much. I disagree with the review complaining about serving size. We had the assorted grilled fish platter (grellada del pei) and paid 95 euros, incl. 2 bottles of water, a cafe and one dessert, the botle of white wine was 17 euros. I recommend the polpo starter and the cheese, probably "Rulo de Queixo".

We were looKING forward to visiting this restaurant having read the previous recommendations. Unfortunately we had a really bad experience. We were the only two people in the restaurant, the waiter rushed us from start to finish. Our meal was completed from initially receiving the menu until payment of the bill in about forty minutes. Our prawn starter was beautiful but was spoiled by the waiter hovering to remove our plates before we had completed the course. Our main course arrived immediately, the fish was ok, I felt it was over cooked, it was burned in spots. Once again the waiter was hovering with dessert menus while we were eating our main course.I was looking forward to the meal in this restaurant but was very disappointed, maybe I hit it on a bad day but even though I was staying in the area I would not go back. There are better restaurants nearby.
