Yes, the restaurant is closed. For how long, I don't know. From what I could make out, there was a notice (in Spanish) that mentioned issues with health and cleanliness. What was specifically disappointing for me is that it is the only restaurant in Muxia that also caters to Vegans and Vegetarians... and there are few enough of these in Spain

We (a party of 4) had 3 starters and were happy that the friendly waitress advised us not to take more because otherwise our main dishes would have been to much. I disagree with the review complaining about serving size. We had the assorted grilled fish platter (grellada del pei) and paid 95 euros, incl. 2 bottles of water, a cafe and one dessert, the botle of white wine was 17 euros. I recommend the polpo starter and the cheese, probably "Rulo de Queixo".

We found this place on our Galician seaside journey after trying lots of more typical/local restaurants. When you enter this place looks like a fish market. Beautiful fresh fish and seafood. You pick what you like and that's what you get! The chef can tell you lots of detail about the fish selection which can help you choose. Once you made up you mind on the food your escorted upstairs to the cozy restaurant. The waiter was very attentive, had proper wine knowledge and made us feel at home. The food was amazing. The shells were perfectly done and the fish grilled and cut exactly as we hoped for. This place is a clear recommendation!

Our party of 3, after a long day hiking and sightseeing, was eagerly looking forward to a "special" dinner in this highly regarded restaurant. I'm happy to say we were not disappointed. The dining room has a lovely maritime ambience (the website pictures are accurate!). The dining room is medium sized but the tables are fairly close together. However, it was a quiet night, with only two other tables occupied when we visited. So I can't comment on what it would be like if full.Service was helpful and efficient and the staff were very friendly. Menus were available in English if required. For starters we had: Pimientos Padron, Sopa de Marisco and Ensalada de Pina. All good portions, excellent quality and very tasty. For mains; Bacalso Brasa, Solomillo and Paletilla Cordero. All had the "wow" factor.Washed down with a bottle of the house recommended Refugallo Godello (â¬18) and two (pushed the boat out!) bottles of Refugallo (Ribeira Sacra) @ â¬16. The 0.5l bottles of water were only â¬1.50, no rip off here. The total bill (before tip) came to â¬126.50, food cost just â¬72 of that figure. An excellent meal, great value and overall a very enjoyable experience.

Very nice lunch of pimientos de Padrón, pulpo, and mixed fish. It was a busy midweek lunchtime but the service was excellent and the food simple and very tasty. Good location. Would recommend giving it a try.

Visited twice, once when the mist had descended and yesterday with a clear sky and a superb view from on high.Delighted to see the restaurant full on saturday night. They do deserve it. from other Tripadvisor reviews we opted for the tasting menu with accompanying wines and enjoyed every bite. The menu is on the webpage but particular mention must go to the lightly battered deep fried scorpionfish which we agreed might have been the most exquisitively beautiful and tasty fish we ever sampled. Another mention must go to the excellent Gin & Tonics at the end of the meal made expertly by the boss himself.Incredible value for money and every morsel delightful

A Castelara's food is big on flavor. We're talking classic bistro cooking where respect for the ingredients - fresh, seasonal and local - leads the way. Expect tipical Galician dishes: seefood and marine products but also meat and salads. The menu boasts
This tiny seafood restaurant is amazing. From a pocket handkerchief size kitchen comes the most sublime food. We were only sad that with just 2 of us, we couldnât try everything! We started with class in garlic - absolutely fresh with a thick garlic, wine, parsley and butter/oil sauce. Then on to a sort of seafood risotto - aroz a la marinera, which was so delicious. Slightly more soupy than a risotto, it was full of prawns, cockles, squid and clams - and a lovely light tomato fish stock. All washed down with a bottle of Alberino - a total of 73 Eu so weâll spent. We arrived at 9.10 and got the only table for 2 that hadnât already been booked by locals - on a Tuesday evening in late September! There are less than 20 covers, so I guess booking is a good idea.

We wanted one nice seafood dinner before we left Fisterra and TripAdvisor reviews pointed to O Pirata. Good advice! Shell fish was amazingly fresh (we saw one of the employees carry it in off the docks). The table service was friendly and helpful(not always the case in Spain). Definitely going back next time we are in Fisterra.

Cetárea y Depuradora de mariscos gallegos y de importación. Restaurante - MarisquerÃa. Tienda con productos del mar. Venta online de marisco gallego.
Enthusiastic welcome, including an apparently obligatory tour of the shellfish tanks (tip to proprietors - put a glass of wine in the punters hands before tour to ensure maximum attention and appreciation).Incredibly high quality seafood along with fulsome commentary on same. One black mark was the overcooked and yet cold freebie pastie to start.Overall an original place with fabulous seafood.Highly recommended for adventurous bivalve aficionados
