Green Love, Juice Bar & Vegan Kitchen. Homemade, locals, organic as often as possible We are in vacation from 10th september to the 15th october Thanks
The name of this restaurant entails a certain amount of vegetation, in addition, it evokes an image of greenery. Despite that, the only three main courses they provide from their menu adorned on the wall seem to devoid of that verbally. It is later verified physically by the Japanese love boat I opt for; a plate of twelve small sushi and a snippets of four or five kinds of vegetable, nothing much green indeed. Never mind that, our other order is the vegetarian burger, with which a few potato are the only vegetable, hence there's a necessity to order a green salad. Having said that, the portions are fairly substantial and the standard of cooking are in a medium to high level. Furthermore, it's quite affordable as one has the options of choosing a set menu with drinks and main course, main course and dessert, and drink with main course and dessert respectively. There is obviously other lapse; for a place with only seven tables, reservation is always a must in order to avoid disappointment, thus a craving of impromptu visit is out of question. Finally, the ten percent service charge baffles me, since there really isn't much service to offer as you have to approach the counter to order, and this kind of forceful tipping system should not happen in a small restaurant as such. My ultimate advice will be: please strive to place more greenish vegetables on your dishes, in doing so, il will correspond with your restaurant title and accentuate a healthier stance.

We went last night to "Le citronnier" with high expectations, followings the good reviews and high scores here on Tripadvisor. We called at 8pm to get a table and they told us we could cole right away. Nice. This restaurant is located a couple of minutes by car from the port of Marseille, where most of the high ranked restaurants are. It isn't a big place, there are only a couple of tables, which was nice. The interior is modern, but nothing special. After we got seated, it took the waiter 10 minutes to come to our table and bring us the.....wine list. Maybe something was going on that evening and they were lacking staff, because the waiter seemed to be quite active in the kitchen, but it took another 10 minutes prior that the menus were presented to us. Way too long.Portions seemed large, so we decided to share a starter. The starter proved to be delicious, some kind of Patagonian dish: cuttlefish filled with feta cheese and anchivy and which litterally exploded in our mouth when biting on it. Very tasty and great recipe. As main dish I ordered the burger. The black angus meat tasted well, but the cheese layer was way to hard. The presentation was not so tastefull, the whole reminded me to German portions ( like the German art decoration on their wall). Ok, but not in line with the reviews here on Tripadvisor. A surprise was the wine list, which I appreciated a lot. They serve quite original south African wines: we tried the kleine rust with the pinotage grapes. Very tastefull, even although a 2015 edition whilst the 2013 edition was listed. The waiter was a nice young man from Ile de la Réunion, we had a good chat with him. Nice person. All by all, the restaurant is ok but not worth 4 or 5 stars. A 3,5 star rating seems more appropiate. Would we go back is a question I always ask myself at te end of an evening ? The answer is most probably ....no. It is ok, but nothing special

Burgers' bar til 11h45am to 11h00pm to go or to stay last service to stay at 10h00pm
We visited this place for lunch on the way to Palais Longchamp having read the reviews on tripadvisor and craving a burger having had a reasonable amount of seafood on our trip. The waiter (assume he's the owner) was excellent and explained everything in English to us. Very friendly and singing along to the old school English playlist he had on in the background. Burgers are juicy and a range of sides to compliment available by choice. Great beer. Definitely a great option for lunch if you're in the area!

Bonjour nous fermons pour vacances annuelles et amélioration de l établissement du 28 juillet 2019 Au mardi 3 septembre 2019 Cordialement L équipe De Chez Marinette
Based on the positive reviews of Chez Marinette, I took my family on a 45 minute walk across Marseille under the blazing sun. When we reached the restaurant we were exhausted but the exceptional reception, great service and delicious food made this a worthwhile gastronomical adventure. We had the Burger, one of the best I have had.Antonio, Sweden

A real French local restaurant - friendly welcome. Small menu, freshly cooked. Good reasonable wine list.Full house this evening so you probably need to book. All other tables occupied by locals. You will not be disappointed, but you may walk past not noticing. Search well - this place is very good.
