Find out what Mediterranean restaurants to try in Cannes. Galas, regattas, the Film Festival and an outrageously attractive and affluent set characterize Cannes. Vast yachts obscure the view and the town lives up to its motto, "Life is a festival." People-watching is the activity that brings most visitors to Cannes, and hotel-lined La Croisette provides a fine promenade. First popularized by Coco Chanel, Cannes beaches are a huge draw. Get expensive seaside food and drinks service on hotel sand or opt for the free public beaches, Plages du Midi and de la Boca.

Do yourself a favor, and visit this small downtown restaurant mostly patronized by locals. At lunch time, for about 20â¬, you'll receive an homemade amuse-gueule of tapenade, an appetizer and a main dish, the 2 latter server in huge portions and prepared as should be. Price-wise, and considering the quality of the products used, this is unheard of in Cannes. The place is always packed but they will be happy to book a table for you.Service is swift and professional. The menu selection is quite basic, with a few interesting surprises along the way (broiled "os à moëlle," beef tartare Thai style, "pain perdu").La Meissounière is the best lunch place in an area which, unfortunately, counts with dozens of tourist ripp-offs venues.

The 3 course meal was delicious (cost 29⬠per person). Their house aperitif is very good and I recommend it. The waiter/owner was super nice and he speaks English very well. For two people (we had 2 apperitivs, a bottle of wine, a bottle of water and two 3-course meals) we paid 106â¬, which, according to the location (I mean this is Cannes) and the delicious food seem completely worth it.

I do not like to write negative reviews but unfortunately this one is. It was our last day in Cannes and I wanted to surprise the kids to take them out for pizza (as I read excellent reviews about this restaurant). We came half an hour early and, as there was no free table outside, we sat inside and took a drink while waiting for our table reservation. In half an hour there was still no table for us outside but the manager offered us our drinks. However, we ended up waiting one more hour. Kids were hungry and it was a hot day, so very warm inside. Finally I said to the manager that we do not want to wait any longer and he became very impatient with us even though it was not our fault. We just stood up and left. I understand it was a busy night, but if you book a table in advance, you should get it, especially with two children.

Traditional restaurant with single menu all included! And yes! Wine also (half a bottle of wine per person) A home made terrine appetizer with a seasonal salad and sausages followed by an appetizer and shot of vodka! and main course to choose between a fi
Summary: Mediocre food and extremely unpleasant dinning experience. Avoid at any cost and you will thank me for the advice!!! (Unless you like to spend money to get mistreated.)We found this place according to the ranking (10th in Cannes) - it was the highest ranked place that we could still book online. My first mistake: i didnât check the negative reviews. If you look at them, they all suggest the same idea: mediocre food, but really rude server. My second mistake: When we arrived at the restaurant, which was a weekday night at 8pm, but there was only one table (2 people) sitting outside; completely empty inside. This normally would be a strong hint but we were tired and thus decided to give the place a try.My last mistake: I have to be fair here - the food was ok. The starters were not so great, but the mains, especially the duck break was not bad. At this point, we were not unsatisfied at all. Just a normal dinner. This quickly went downhill the moment we asked for the bill. We were told no credit card and the server pointed out to the tiny hand written sign(see picture attached) and made it like it is my fault not seeing it. When we arrived at the restaurant as it empty inside (even no server no nothing) we though the place was closed so we did not pay much attention to anything and almost left until the male server came to use from the outside and asked where we wanted to sit. We said outside and sat down. There is no way I couldâve or shouldâve noticed the tiny sign on the wall. The server should notify us about it and we wouldâve been ok with paying cash - which I did in the end. However when I complained this to the server and the apparent owner (after I paid cash) they blame me for not seeing the sign and said âmoney if money, what is wrong with youâ. At this point I just decided to leave and regretted to even talk to those guys as they clearly have no idea why their business is not doing great. Maybe this was once a great place, but it is definitely not one any more.Dear myjc116Thank you so much for these pretty photos of your lie, you were so happy with the meal so you took photos!Including the photo of the small sign that indicates that we do not take credit card, When you came to pay, I explained to you that the credit card system was broken, You then got into a childish anger telling me I didn't have the right I should have warned you That's when I told you we put a sign at the entrance to prevented people.Plus you have cash (You Asked the ladies who was with you cash, which must have hurt you very deeply) and so I don't understand why you got into a black anger and completely changed your mind about the meal you found excellent.I hopes that you're going to do something for this mammoretic mood of macho. We are sorry to inform you that the restaurant will be closed from the 11th of august until the 25th of august for holidays. Thank you and see you next time in Uva
We arrived and tried to sit a6 some vacant outdoor tables, to be interrupted by the waitress who say they were reserved, but if we would wait 5 minutes hey would bring out more tables. Excellent start. The food was fantastic and the wine pairing was brilliant. Our only fault wasnât with the restaurant but with the young couple dining and chain smoking firstly cigars, then cigarettes, seamingly in between their bites let alone their courses, their smoke ruining the flavour and taste of our meal. I long for the day that smoking is not allowed even at outside dining areas. Thank you for coming, we appreciate your feedback very much.It was a pleasure to welcome you in UVA and we hope to see you again soonâ¦

Visited for lunch on the sidelines of Cannes Lions.Had a set menu ceviche, lamb shoulder and creme brûlée. Christians suggested a beer with rose and litchi flavour which was very nice. The meal very satisfying little far the main crowd. Lamb was so soft that one did not have to use the knife.

Différentes Soupes toutes les semaines, Raclette Savoyarde et végétarienne, Lentilles, Salades and desserts maison et glaces ou sorbets
Came here after being very disappointingly turned away by En Direct de nos Prodecteurs (as 'kitchen was closed' even though a few hours earlier we called to check their opening times). Anyway we were delighted by our visit to La Troquet...by the food, the prices and the overall experience. Between 2 of us we had cucumber gazpacho, onion soup, chilli con carne and raclette and very cheap (and good) wine. I particularly loved the raclette. But no room for dessert unfortunately. It's a tiny cafe-like place, near the market and single handedly and admirably run by the owner. Well worth a visit!

Original and tasty little dishes to share (or not!): discover an updated menu everyday with fresh produces right from the market, along with a handpicked selection of good wines. Ãa, c'est Le Pompon !
Exceptional food in a very small restaurant. The highlight of our 4 nights in Cannes, you MUST book to secure a table. Share plates that will satisfy everyone, great personalised service - its not an overly pretty or trendy venue, the food however is exceptional - should be Michelin rated!Merci :)Bruno et Jeanne
