This was our third visit to Fontvieille, primarily to enjoy the extraordinary hospitality and creative cuisine afforded by Jean-Pierre, Catherine and their team. What began as a venture into the culinary unknown in 2009 has blossomed into a relationship that is much more than dining at a restaurant. Sure, there are hundreds of places to dine in Provence, and they all have something special, along with a divergence of opinions. We are admittedly biased when we say Le Patio is a âworld enclaveâ to usâ¦a blend of nostalgia, recognition, shared memories and simply outstanding cuisine. For us the definition of âspecialâ is Table 7. Caveat: If you are counting your calories or laser-focused on budget, find another restaurant. If you want to be relieved of all cares and pretensions, and enjoy some of the finest local cooking in the world, Le Patio is your Provence destination. Merci beacoup, Catherine & Jean-Pierre!

This is a very busy spot so you may have to be prepared to wait to snatch a table like we did. The view of the coleseum is fab! It's hard to get any closer. The waiter was very nice and helpful. Menu is in French and English which was a bonus. I chose the vegetarian quiche and my partner has chicken baguette. The portions were generous. My quiche (although hidden under a lot of unnecessary foliage) was a large portion. It was tasty and flavoursome but unfortunately quite soggy. My partner enjoyed his sandwich though so I think that's what I would go for next time. Wine was delicious and we even got a crepe to share for desert which we both really enjoyed too. I would return and maybe avoid the quiche.

Grabbed an early table for lunch, and was glad we did as later on people were being turned away, rightly it is popular. The staff were friendly and attentive. Salads and pasta perhaps more noteworthy that the burgers. Puds were lovely especially the chocolate soufflé and café gourmande. Recommend if you fancy a lazy lunch.

Traditional and Provencale cooking Open wednesday to sunday, lunch and diner .
What a delightful evening we had at this cozy, romantic spot. We were greeted warmly and seated at an outdoor table for two in their small, charming alley. Every aspect of the meal was perfect. Our server was happy to make recommendations for wine and various specialties, which did not disappoint. Locally sourced dishes of fish and lamb accompanied with an array of roasted vegetables, rice and potatoes were outstanding. Dessert is not to be missed! Be sure to plan ahead and book a table as this is a deservedly popular restaurant.

The two partners from Alsace are very specific about your allocated time for dinner so that the kitchen is not overwhelmed and can give every customer the care that is deserved. A fixed price menu with four alternatives for each course that changes monthly. Food is beautifully prepared and served. The food and sauces were delicious. Bread was tasty. We had a leisurely

Concept culinaire proposant une composition de plusieurs petits plats préparés avec des produits de saison, selon lâinspiration du chef, autour dâune cuisine dâici et dâailleurs. A découvrir avec des couverts ou⦠avec les doigts !
We ordered the full menu. There was a challenge for the cook: My husband has several food allergies, and the food needed to get adapted to his needs, which is not so easy to do with a set menu. All courses were simply delicious, made from select fresh ingredients, and creatively seasoned. The recommended wine was a perfect match at a correct price. We will come back when in Arles. Thanks a lot and see you soon

I loved this place for so many reasons, the location is terrific, facing the Saturday market, the atmosphere, the people watching, the warm welcome, and the terrific food. 5 star rating stays despite stale bread, which would have been wonderful if it wasnt precut and a bit dry. The reason 5 star rating stays is because the couple who run it clearly care about the produce, and though staying true to ths local cuisine, breath new, modern life into it. I had the fantastic green bean terrine with creme du lard (I know it sounds weird, but it was divine!), with little balls of pork crackling for texture contrast. If you don't eat pork, just tell them to exclude it, I saw a few people do that also. For main I went for yellow place, a local fish, with guacamole and grilled baby courgettes. It tasted as wonderful as it sounded. Menu prix here is fantastic value for the quality you get - â¬19 for 2, â¬24 for 3 courses. Great wine by the glass. Chilled water served with a side of ice in a glass - on such a hot day it was a much appreciated, unsolicited, thoughtfulness.

Restaurant familial, spécialité Bouillabaisse. Véritable bouillabaisse, présentation du poisson (7 à 11 variétés, suivant pêche et arrivage), découpe devant les convives. Soupe de poisson maison, bouillabaisse traditionnelle
This is a great Fish Restaurant. Previously in the Salin de Giraud, Fontvieille, and Le Paradou, Patrick and Patricia Roux are now back in Fontvieille at their new fish restaurant, Cote Mer. It is a simple restaurant serving beautifully cooked fish and seafood dishes at a very reasonable price compared to other fish restaurants in Les Alpilles and at a higher quality. Their fish soup is very good as is their platter of seafood which has a selection of three oysters with mussels, shrimps and whelks. The Dorade Royale (Bream) was beautifully cooked. They serve a simple side dish of vegetables. Dessert was good and my crème brûlée was as good as it was simple. The family are very friendly and service is excellent. Wine is well priced and 1/2 bottles are available. The white from nearby Mas Sainte Berthe is a good choice. They serve bouillabaisse if ordered 2 days before. We had their bouillabaisse at their previous restaurant "Le Petit France" in Le Paradou which was excellent and such good value. We intend to return in two or three days to try it again.

In a valley neat Les Baux, this newly renovated and adapted hotel on the base of an old farmstead there is receiving its guests in very well equipped and spacious rooms with nice views of the valley and the surrounding rocks. Comfortable rooms with nice bathrooms. Perfect service. Large outside pool. Gravel on all ways from parking to and between the buildings makes the transport of baggage a bit difficult and the baggage and trousers dirty.Excellent restaurant with food in Michelin-starred quality.
