We chanced upon this restaurant late at night - around 9.30pm. Yet they were happy to serve us, and cater for our various needs. Chicken breast with Ratatoile was excellent.Place is on the main road and has excellent facilities - very close to Brignoles Karting track. Good value too!

3 « salles » 3 ambiances avec goûts et raffinements ... Un excellent accueil souriant. Des plats simples, goûteux et généreux. Préparés à la minute avec des produits frais et locaux. Je recommande vivement cette table

Excellent food at a decent price. Service was bit slow, but the smile of the owner made the difference.

I had lunch here with friends in June as we were driving the hilltop road out of Nice. The restaurant is part of a small hotel, but welcomes non-guests too. The setting is spectacular with a wonderful view of the blue-green waters below. The food is very good. There was fresh fish on offer that day, but so expensive that we opted for pasta (Nice is not far from Italy and prepares very good pasta dishes!) and seafood salads at lower prices. The food was very good, the service was acceptable, and it was a good place to stop along the rout.

This compact restaurant is quite basic and unpretentious but well worth a visit for its well cooked good food. A menu which Is varied enough to meet all tastes and not extortionate in price. Friendly service. One interesting feature is the open kitchen which enables diners to watch the chef at work.

This is a very attractive restaurant where one can eat outside under the shade of trees listening to the trickling of the water from this most unusual fountain which looks like a tree dripping water! The food was of good quality, nicely served by friendly staff. We would return.

We had a lovely lunch, inventive and tasty dishes, well prepared and presented but found the selection quite limited. Service was very professional and attentive throughout the meal. There is apparently a parking for guests but we couldn't find it before our meal and had to park in the street.

We have been eating here for 14 years now since we bought our holiday home in the region and the quality has remained consistently good and at 31 euros for a four course menu, it has remained outstanding value. Mussels and their soupe de poissons de la roche are definite specialities to look out for, but their foie gras and everything else is very good too. Haute cuisine it does not pretend to be, but you'll be very happy with the fayre here. I had a particularly fine bream with crushes potatoes on this occasion. Most of the service is performed by the rather witty and ever cheerful owners' daughter who has grown into a lovely young lady.

We remembered the premises when this was Lou Paleisoun (now closed), and thought we should try the new establishment. Service was definitely friendly and attentive, but the verdict is patchy overall. The special medievales menu was very basic and could have hit the spot, but there were a number of issues. A bill of 90 euros for aperitifs, two mains, two desserts, carafe of rose, bottle of water and two coffees is steep for the following reasons: the huge entrecote was at least one third gristle, not good for 22 euros, and the colonel at 11 euros contained the cheapest tasting table vodka you could find in France. I fared much better: my octopus stew and risotto were very good in my main and the panne cotta with salted caramel was nice too...and big...even if it was served in a paper coffee cup. Unrefined overall, but with some definite good points. I wish the young people who have taken over every success.

We left Marseille quickly instead of staying for a couple of days as planned. It was gritty and traffic jammed and so we headed instead toward our next stop in Cannes. Our tummies rumbled and so we pulled off to Brignoles to have a quick snack. You know.. a coffee and baguette kind of lunch. What a fabulous decision. We accidentally fell upon El Cochino. The service was first class and the food a delight. We highly recommend it. We simply did not expect if to be as outstanding as it was for us. The food was simply stated first class. Congrats to the m'ment, staff and chef. We sought the chef out and thanked him for our beautiful lunch.
