Family-friendly and tranquil, Protaras is situated along the sandy coastline of Cyprus's Fig Tree Bay. The glorious beach is the main attraction—just be sure to keep a delightfully wary eye peeled for the legendary Ayia Napa Sea Monster. Giggle about the creepy creature over Cypriot specialties at one of the many open-air seafood restaurants in town.

Stylish and lavish, The Blue Ivy Hotel and Suites is located in the heart of the cosmopolitan Tourist Resort of Protaras. This eye-catching hotel combines amazing sea views, a relaxing environment, original style, exceptional cuisine with excellent service and undeniable comfort. Located steps away from the spectacular white sands and crystal clear waters of the beautiful award winning Blue Flag Sunrise Beach with its mile long golden strip and the fascinating center of Protaras, the fully refurbished, luxurious The Blue Ivy Hotel and Suites is the perfect place for a mesmerising family vacation or a peaceful couples getaway.Guests can enjoy their days at The Blue Ivy Hotel and Suites by sipping delicious cocktails whilst taking in the breath-taking view of the Mediterranean Sea, splashing around the brand new kids pool, before enjoying a revitalising dip in the large outdoor swimming pool.
We got married recently in cyprus and chose to stay at the blue ivy for 2 weeks. First impressions - the hotel looks brand new and everything is spotless. Only downside was when we arrived late at night, everywhere was closed and there was no where to get a drink. Welcome drinks or a bottle of water in the room for late arrivals would have been nice. Especially when friends arrived the next day and was greeted with a fancy blue cocktail ? Rooms... We stayed in a junior suite which was spacious, very modern and the bed was perfect, large smart tv on the wall, so we could screen share from our tablets or watch stuff on youtube. Rooms cleaned everyday, Friends of ours had a standard room, when i had a nosey in, it did look abit cramped - not much room between the bed and dressing table but ok for a couple. Each night we would get back to the room and there would be a couple of cookies with a goodnight message on our beds, which is a nice little touch. Food.... The food here is lovely. At breakfast there is a range of choices, fruit, salads, cheeses, cearels, pastries, pancakes, egg, bacon, beans etc There is a live omelette cooking station but only 1 cook with 1 pan so i can imagine there will be queues in peak season. Staff walk around with jugs of coffee to give you that caffine boost in a morning. Dinner starts from 7pm and is themed each night. Again the food is top notch with many different things to choose from. Mr nicos arranged for me and our full wedding party to have a meal here the night before our wedding... after the meal everyone said the food is alot better than their hotels and commented how lovely the hotel is. Pool... There is 2 pools. Adult pool and childrens pool. The adult pool is fantastic for chilling out and relaxing all day. The children's pool is a little on the small side. 5 or 6 people and it starts to get full. I'd say it doesn't quite cater for young teenagers. My 13 year old son got abit bored sitting around the kids pool, we didnt spend much time at the hotel through the day coz of this. All in all, i would definitely return to this hotel, the location is perfect... just left off the strip. Waves bar is next door and the beach just down the road.

Arrived after tiring flight and transfers. Check in very polite, friendly and swift. Nice glass of chilled prosecco was a generous touch to welcome us. The room on fifth floor was stunning with modern furniture and was spotless. Bathrobes and slippers a nice touch. There is a free stocked mini bar again very good and allows you to have your own chilled drinks to replenish. We were on Half Board basis so breakfast very good outside on the terrace. Lots of fresh food and the omelette station. Halloumi cheese with Greek honey was divine. They also have fresh orange and chilled glass of prosecco, if you like. Dinner was more formal and good choice with each night themed in the International restaurant. They have dine-around at other restaurants (see my other TA reviews of them). The new manager George (ex Nissi Beach) had his cocktail party and his team are all providing the best experience for the guests. The pool area and bar are lovely places to chill out but be aware of the hybrid designated sunbed plan. Once you are allocated a bed its yours for the week, no changes! I guess its to stop people getting up at 4 am to claim the best beds! In the evening there was not much entertainment but Fig Tree Bay a 10 mins walk or 5 euro taxi ride with everything you need. A fabulous hotel that we had the most relaxing week at and its in the diary to return next year.

This hotel is amazing to its last detail! If you wonder where to stay when you visit the area, search no more. Perfect rooms, amazing food, fascinating people to meet (both personnel, and visitors) and the list could go on forever. Overall one of the best hotels we've ever seen! A special thanks to miss Lisa who is always fun to talk to and of course the people from aegeo spas. Monica is the sweetest and most welcoming person while Thanos is the most professional and smart young man I've met in person, he should be working for the greatest athletes because his hands can heal anything he touches. (we booked the Cretan massage and I highly recommend it when you visit their spa) Thanks to everyone who made our vacation so fulfilling and memorable! Caroline X

Firstly I’d like to mention I have 0 photos of this beautiful place. Photos tell a lot about a place but all of my photos contain my family. I never ever write a review on anything and this is my first, I feel like it deserve my effort above and beyond what I can manage, as this is what they do for you. They are so welcoming, friendly, funny and helpful I have not met a member of staff that isn’t smiling and saying hello. The place is situated right in the middle of everything you need, some top supermarkets & bars. The pools are more than you could ask for, sun beds aren’t a worry each morning as they sort this on arrival for your whole stay. I haven’t even left yet but I can honestly say I can’t wait to come back already. This holiday had gone from exciting to special the day we step foot in to sunrise Pearl. I like to travel and try different places when going on holiday but we as a family will definitely be making this a go to place and even show it off to our friends and family to. If you have a bad word to say about this place I’d love to know what. I can’t thank them enough. Finally the food here wherever you eat that’s related to this hotel you will not be disappointed, a personal favourite is the Lemongrass Pan Asian but I can definitely say all restaurants have blown us away, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Thank you once more Craig

We stayed in the Chris La Mare Luxury Gold Villa & it was amazing. We were very well looked after by all the staff, and especially Flouris. The villa was 5 star and we were treated as 5 star guests by all the staff. Even on the final day, after we had checked out, but waited for transfers, we were looked after beautifully. We used the spa & nothing was too much trouble. The ladies who ran the spa & provided treatments are fab! We loved every minute of the holiday & Cyprus is amazing! We will definitely be back! Love the 4 Sisters :)

Capo Bay is set on Fig Tree Bay, perhaps the most famous beach in Cyprus. Modern, chic and elegantly understated, Capo Bay’s light filled lobby, welcomes our guests. The designers have managed to bring, throughout the Hotel, the colors of the sandy beaches and the gorgeous shades of the Mediterranean Sea. The use of natural materials is obvious in every part of the property; from the oak handmade furniture to the cotton/linen tapestries which create an ambience that calms and relaxes. The hotel is sure to delight you with its shimmering views, its irresistible restaurants with their fusion of flavors, and the tranquil atmosphere that prevails around the hotel.
Another wonderful stay at Capo bay. We have been coming here for 17 years and look forward to many more visits to our happy place. It was our first time in the interconnecting rooms and they were excellent, very clean and wonderful views.

This charming hotel is located in "Pernera", a small area on the outskirts of Protaras, which has developed into a resort of its own. The hotel is right on the sandy beach of this quiet resort with restaurants, bars and many shops nearby. The Pernera beach hotel has a rich variety of sport and leisure facilities including:supermarket/souvenir shop, conference room, hairdressing salon, squash court, whirlpool bath, sauna, gym, massage room, two floodlit tennis courts, volleyball court, mini football ground, darts, games room, sun terraces, lounge bar, children playground, indoor swimming pool, a large outdoor swimming pool, children's swimming pool, a scuba diving center, water sports and a great variety of in-house entertainment.
We spent 2 weeks at Pernera Beach hotel 19th May until 2nd June and had a lovely time. With just a few changes I think this hotel could be made 5 star - more comfortable bar area for evening, waiter service around the pool and grassed area near the beach and porters to take luggage etc. Notwithstanding this, everything was lovely and staff were brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble, I can only name a few, Sam who sorted out our bookings for the a la carte restaurants ( it’s a shame you can’t book in the a la carte once a week at each instead of once per star) , we absolutely loved the Asian restaurant and Thalasso was great too. Food was good, there were a couple of times I struggled to find something I liked but on the whole it was good, my husband especially liked their breakfasts. Other staff who stood out are George and Maria in the restaurants. Despo and Andreas in the a la cartes and Vitek and Amelia in the bar, they were exceptional and lovely people. All staff were really lovely, from the reception staff to the cleaners, who all work very hard. We liked the quiet location of the hotel and it’s not far to get into Protaras when you want to, about 10 euros in a taxi. We liked Protaras too and had a lovely meal there at Wan Chai Chinese restaurant. We hired a pedalo with a slide and also booked a private small boat trip to blue lagoon just left from the hotel along the beach promenade at the first water sports you come to. I thought their prices were reasonable and Joanna from there is a lovely young lady. We went into windmills bar not far from the hotel, 5-10 minutes walk, that was nice too with very friendly staff. They do a nice cocktail. There’s also a little supermarket left down the beach promenade and a lovely lady who runs that too. Thank you to all staff at Pernera beach for a lovely holiday, hopefully we’ll be back
