Going for a boat tour we asked if they could prepare some sandwiches / snack. We were served three (beautiful) aluminium container, one beer and one bottle of water for â¬35....but the container were full of cheap old white bread, some cheese trunnions, a couple of olives and some fat terrible ham (we asked bresaola). Total scam.

We popped in here for a quick drink before dinner at our hotel. The sign in the street advertised 50 beers so I was interested in seeing what they had. Itâs down a short flight of stairs and has an outside terrace as well as plenty of seating inside. I opted for a Pan dark beer and Jo had a soft drink. After a quick look through the menu and having seen food arrive at other tables we decided to stay. I had a tuna steak with stir fry and Jo had spaghetti bolognese. We finished with a blackcurrant panna cotta and coffees. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal as did seemingly everyone else around us.Thanke you very much! We are very happy that you like our pub. Best regards Jadranka Lovranski pub

With the quietness of its ambience, the wide range of carefuly chosen exquisite meals, and with the discreet and axclusive service, Villa Ariston's restaurant manages to entertain and please in any occasion: banquets, business meetings, cocktail parties,
We had a fish soup consisting of a meat bouillon (!) with cold fish cube on the side (which had to be dipped in?) while the salad was as basic as it gets. To follow, the fish was most likely deep frozen as this sea bass was really tasteless. The lamb was good albeit my portion was "minimalistic". So we cut our loss and skipped dessert. The biggest surprise came from all the extras charged which are reminiscent of nearby Italy...We would avoid this eatery and take a 15min stroll instead to find something better downtown.Dear Mr.Olivier Bentin,I m so sorry that you were disappointed...I was there, on reception on your departure day and I remember your reaction when you saw the bill... you should tell the waiter what was wrong with the dish...it looked you were satisfied,..Best regardsCyntia

Our waiter was very helpful with wine and fish. The fish was extremely fresh and delicious. The sides we good, but we could have shared one. Our waiter filleted the fish for us (thank you). Extremely personable, even in English. All in all, an excellent dinner for over two hours. When the bill came, we weren't surprised (around 600kn with a 1/2 liter of wine), but you might be. It was expensive, but we felt very good about paying for a delicious meal with outstanding, attentive, personable service.

We went coincidently to this restaurant, and fortunately got the single free table! The fod was excellent, everything fresh! The lamb and the beef was nicely grilled in front of us. The staff was professional and very friendly, as well as the owner who looked after everything personally! We booked immidiately our next visit!

Our first night in Opatija and what a great choice to start our dining experience. We ordered spaghetti and risotto with all the meals being perfectly cooked and delicious. Portions are good and the prices are reasonable. We dined outside and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The restaurant was packed and everyone seemed to be enjoying their food. Our waiter was excellent. Yes, we waited a little while for our food but as I said, the restaurant was full so we simply enjoyed our conversation and the atmosphere. The food, when it arrived, was worth it. On our third night, we got back very late after a day trip and decided to get pizzas delivered. Our hosts ordered on our behalf from Roko and again the food was good but be aware the pizzas where HUGE!!

Delicious food, excellent service, relaxing atmosphere, suitable for families with kids. Great selection of dishes, from pizza (as good as Italian), grilled vegetables, salads, grilled meat dishes, to french fries (kids said they were better than McDonaldâs). Everything was fresh and well made and it was reasonably priced.

We asked our guide ( who lives in Opatija) for a local restaurant that was not top heavy with seafood since my wife is does not favor seafood. Without much hesitation, she suggested razmarin. The reviews suggested that we make a reservation but we figured, that was not necessary since we usually eat around 6:30. We showed up at 6:20 without a reservation and got the next to last table...outside, ( under a roof, with heaters, which was fine): At least 15 walk insâs without resevations arrived within the next ten minutes and were turned away. ( to an outside waiting area)Dinner consisting of hamburgers stuffed with cheese was 5 Star. And our server, Milan, helped with the wine selection which was a local Shiraz. Perfect!!. Donât mean to short shift the menu there were probably 12 pages of optopns including pasta , seafood, steaks...something for everyoneI happily give razmarin 5 Stars for food...for ambiance...for interior decor( three separate rooms, plus bar), and for attentive wait staffJay

We passed through here whilst walking to Lovren via the promenade and it looks the part from the outside as it has a huge fishing net strung from the outside wall full of shells and a lovely wooden tree stump sign advertising the restaurant, also has a few old outboard boat motors outside, when walking through the ceiling is covered with net which is again covered with seashells. We decided to stop for a drink as the place was always busy later on and always had reserved tables. The boat tours use this place for lunch so can get really busy at certain times and could be a long wait for food. Prices ok and food looked good but you have to be a fish lover as this is mainly what they specialise in.
