Things to do in Vrbnik
We found this secret place unexpectedly. It is an ancient ruined house in the city centre. It is just so romantic. With the wild roses growing, and the ancient walls, and perfect local wine. The chef is a very funny and friendly guy who will cook personally for you the freshest fish and typical pasta. Or just step in for some wine tasting, you wonât regret it. This place definitely has a lot of charm. Hope it remains like this.

We had the best time at this small family restaurant in Vrbnik. It is situated at the main square in Vrbnik, has great local fresh food (try surlice) and offers local wine. a dinner with a view and the best friendly staff who helps you if you are unsure about the order. Try Zlahtina, the local wine and have some seafood and enjoy your dinner with candlelight.
A beatiful terrace above the local beach with views of the adriatic sea and the old town of Vrbnik. We were here on a family vacation, and the staff was very helpful in finding places for us to visit. The dinner was fantastic, local food with fresh organic ingredients. We had one of the best pancakes in our lives!

We needed some quick lunch, so decided to drop in this pizzeria (Gospoje restaurant close to central parking). It has a big terrace outside, waiters are kind. They accept both cash and credit card. They had a "real" fire heated oven, the pizza dough was thin and crusty enough.I suggest to choose a pizza with a few toppings only, otherwise your dough is getting wet.

This restaurant heavily advertised that it served suckling pig and that is precisely why we drove for 20 minutes to get there. Upon arrival the waitress was quick to take our order for drinks. When the drinks arrived and we said that we wanted to order the suckling pig the waitress acted astonished that we (tourists) were not aware that the suckling pig had to be âorderedâ at least one day in advance. When we acted disappointed and told her that was not at all obvious she was very defensive and proceeded to show us a part of the menu where this was stated in red print in Croatian. Clearly lacking psychic powers and fluent Croatian (!) we did not know about this. We then reluctantly ordered 2 below v average and small octopus salads and shark for our child. I asked for a child sized portion of fries but, the waitress was totally inflexible and told me that fries were served in only one portion! This was unsurprising as when presented they clung together in a mashed up limp way. When I then informed her that the sparkling wine I ordered was not sparkling wine she proceeded to argue that it was....(!!) We felt that given the debacle with the suckling pig the tone should have been at least friendly if not apologetic but it got more and more inflexible and argumentative.....Questions about the menu (regarding local produce) were met with answers like: âI donât know Iâm not from hereâ!! Honestly we would have left but our child was very hungry and liked the shark which was ok in fairness. All in all a v. disappointing experience. By all means visit this restaurant if you want an unclear bizarre menu, dogs and cats of uncertain origin rambling about and approaching your table, argumentative substandard service and oh yes, if you possess incredible psychic powers regarding contents of a menu, the availability of suckling pig and have had the time to learn fluent Croatian.

We stumble upon Gospoja by chance and had a great experience. We only ordered coffees and a few small nibbles, but we received incredible service and more than we expected. The fish soup was fantastic, as were all the other appetisers we tried. High recommendation.

The view and interior is nice and the waiter was fine. We ordered pizzas and we were satisfied with the service and food until I saw something very disgusting in the open kitchen. The pizza chef was adding pizza toppings and after that he licked every single finger on his left hand, and then proceeded to put other toppings on another pizza which spoiled my dinner. But the food was nice and the view is beautiful. I would give one star for what I saw but everything else was fine.
