You don't have many options when you're staying in Nova Lesna, but this restaurant is really good. Nice service, reasonable prices and good food. If there is no free tables you can just sit next to somebody. It's nice place after long mountains walk ;) They have best dumplings with bryndza and baked potato with bryndza ;)

Popped in for lunch before visiting the nearby lake. We both ordered the chefs burger and 2 drinks. 20 minutes later the drinks arrived. After 40 minutes the food arrived. The burger bun was stale and dry the (chips) ain't chips but greasy potatoe wedges. I told the waiter when paying he replied the buns are homemade. Now I dont know if they are but if they are probably homemade a week ago. When I crumbled one in front of him he said sorry and that was it. After spending 4 days in Slovakia this is without a doubt the worst and most expensive restaurant we have eaten in. This meal cost â¬26 in contrast to last nights meal 2 pizzas and a bottle of wine â¬18 with tip. My advice steer clear of this well overpriced tourist trap and eat elsewhere.

Nice restaurant with the typical menu you find nearly everywhere in the area but with an excellent exception: the slow-roasted pork (cooked in an outdoor oven) that makes this restaurant stand from the crowd. Prices are average for the area and generally fair. Service is not especially friendly.

Local dishes that are well done. The venison goulash is lovely, the sheep cheese starters was a nice surprise. Staff were friendly and the service was good.

Very tasty food - halusky, cabbage soup, pasta with chicken, nice and friendly staff. One dissapointment - mulled wine overpriced, 200 ml for 4 euros (compare with plate of main meal - dumplings for 5,40 eur) .. I recommend this place !

Perfectly located in the centrum of Stary Smokovec, it offers nice atmosphere with its friendly staff and food selection where everyone finds something for her/his taste.

Visited this place two times while staying in Tatras area. Food was great and portions abundant, especially mushroom soup and meat we tried. Tried the meat skewers and a local speciality with few tipea of meat and nice potatoes. All goes well with Saris drought beer or very strong Tatran tea. Service was good and we were listening to a local gipsy band while enjoying a good meal.

The atmosphere in this Koliba is cosy, the terrace is very nice. They have a lot of seating outside and inside and the staff is kind although there was a lot of guests. We have been waiting for 10 minutes but the waiters respected the queue.They speak English well. There is a wide variety of traditional Slovak food but looks like a modern approach to cuisine. Simply delicious!I recommend this restaurant! (However, we haven't appreciated the loud music...)
