Reviewed By Raul PI had a huge room, lots of wardrobe space, a valet stand and an en suite. I can't fault the room and nor the staff: they make you feel welcome, help with everything and the breakfast provided was first class. The internet was also great, something that can't be said about all hotels in this part of Italy.

Perfectly located in the heart of the old town, the premises are tastefully decorated, clean and extremely comfortable. The owners are helpful and always ready to assist the guests in anything the might need. Breakfast in the old basement was delicious and the atmosphere was just lovely!

Reviewed By LucaSavazziAside from the lady clerk at the reception, there doesn't seem to be 'room' for any other friendly personnel. The rooms are clean but so somewhat outdated. The bed is uncomfortably hard and the Airconditioning is only switched on as late as possible to avoid any expenses even though you've paid full price for an air conditioned room. Once switched on, it still is set to minimal, so in the end we had to open up our window to the freeway in order to get some air. Luckily I own a good pair of ear plugs. Breakfast consists of loads of sweets and pies, bit very little savoury options.

Reviewed By JPolisIt was a very positive experience as the owners are very attentive to your needs, rooms are comfortable and with a unique (artistic) interior design, and the bathrooms are very clean. Even though the owners mostly speak Italian, they were very helpful providing us with information about the places to visit in Lucanian Dolomites, places to eat and they even were ready to help us with the the flat car battery. Parking is very easy and free with a pass that the owners provide. It was easy to find a place as it is right on the roundabout with the lion sculpture and in-between elevator systems to access old town which is higher elevation. Potenza apparently has the highest elevations among all the other capital cities of Italian regions. The hotel can be a good base to travel in the mountainous region of Basilicata - you can experience all the comforts of the city (restaurants) still being close to all the small villages/picturesque drives. I can see how non-Italian guests might get a bit tired from cakes and cookies for the breakfast. Yogurt, fruits and fresh juice is also provided. We loved the selection and freshness of all the sweet cakes and cookies, however having a boiled egg, some limited cheese and salami to put on the bread would increase the satisfaction, especially if we had stayed longer.

Reviewed By Rich PFound in a last minute search for a place to stay while on the road across the peninsula. Met on arrival by the owner who showed us in to what easily could have been a freshly cleaned hotel room. Comfortable sized for a couple with a full bath that would rival a four star hotel but in a residential building. Simple continental self-serve breakfast served in a breakfast nook that hosted both us and a couple who arrived later that day. Secure parking with easy in and out access that allowed us to visit the city and return to the room without problems.

Reviewed By tonypappaMy stay in Potenza was a brief night. Having booked this place a few hours before I arriving, I could not have done better in terms of price, location and hospitality. The center of Potenza is set up atop a small mountain. I arrived there via train, bus then elevator with the help of a local neighbor of this B&B. Centrally located next to what the host described as Potenza's most beautiful church, this B&B met all my expectations. If I were to highlight one feature of the place it would be the kindness of the hosts. They were very helpful and knowledgeable and made my short stay feel very comfortable. A nice-sized room, comfortable bed and sweet breakfast made it a fun short stay. If you go to Potenza, you'd be hard pressed to find a better option and a better price.
