the house of the torch, was born at the beginning of the 20th century. In its beginning was a church, where the women before they got pregnant came asking for the blessing and light a candle. In the mid-1950s it became a grocery store, where wine was sold
In a back street and not easy to find but a beautiful interior with a wall full of wine bottles. Service good, waitress very pleasant, waiter not so.Glass of wine was light with a distinctive flavour.Main course seared tuna was a little overcooked and in too much oil.My wife's sea bream was excellent, great for a vegetarian.Cosy place well worth a visit. thank you very muchWe look forward to serving you soon.

Restaurant of excellence located a few meters from the beach of Vau in Portimão, with national, international cuisine and the specialties of the house, the fondue of meat or fish. For wine lovers, this is the ideal restaurant with a wine cellar where you
Visited with our children, blown away by quality of food. You can see the chef/boss cooking the food. Staff Paolo and George very friendly and helpful. We had pork with Diane sauce (delicious) and steak with peppercorn sauce (also delicious) our children had chicken nuggets and chips (more like 1 large breaded chicken fillet) and childs steak and chips (she really enjoyed it) Definitely coming back, it knocks the socks off other local eateries

We wandered into this restaurant to ask directions, and ti seemed so interesting that we came back in the evening. We were very glad that we did. The menu is distinctly odd, basically tapas and snacks, but they turned out to be unusually good. They do all sorts of good things with tuna and bacalao, and an excellent little beef sandwich. We kept wanting to order more. They also had some good deserts. We were served by a couple of Angolan (I think) who couldnpt hve been friendlier or more eager. We will go back here next time.

Wine and Tapas House with Bar service, offering Tapas, cheese boards, traditional food, gourmet products, sandwiches, toasts, salads, desserts, and much more. We accept reservations for full meals.
We came here on reading previous reviews and was not disappointed. We couldnt decide what to have so we went for the sharing platter for 2 and it was amazing and to be honest could easily have fed 3 to 4 people the cheese board is to die for, we went home with a goody bag of what we couldnt eat aa so much. Patricia and her team made us feel extremely welcome and couldnt do enough for us. The food and wine was superb and great value for money, we are so glad we found this little gem of a place and it is first on the list for when we return Albufeira

EPICUR is a wine bar and boutique located downtown Faro. It features around 250 Portuguese labels and there is always a great selection by the glass. It also stars a true and authentic small tapas with the best charcuterie and cheeses around town to make
We went because it was number 1 on TA so thought it would be a good place to start.. But with such lofty rankings it can be hard to live up to them.We were not disappointed though and Rui took such good care of us and was passionate about his job that I assumed he was the owner.. I was wrong.. But when your staff care that much you know you are in the right place.Wine was varied and excellent and was nice to get to try some new Portuguese wines... And then leave with a few bottles (it is also a shop). It is not a restaurant as such.. But I think the food is a perfect balance for the wine and quality meat, cheese and fish boards were all I needed. Will definitely be back. And I didn't even mention the aroma game.. I will let you discover that gem.
