My wife and I were travelling around the Alentejo and "accidentaly" we've been around Torrão closer to lunch time. Found this nice restaurant and after seating and exploring the menu, I have requested the specialities of the house and the nice and smiling lady (which was also the owner) told me to go for the "Ensopado de Borrego". If you like Lamb, you must try this. The dish is amazing, with flavour and smell!!!! Must eat. After the food, ask for the "Encharcado" as the dessert and you will completely end your journey through the Alentejo Cousine. Not sure why this restaurant is showing ££-£££. But for a complete meal for two, we spent around 26⬠soooo... for the qualify of food, service and experience, is priceless.

The Cuisine of Alentejo. Confort food, only the best pork and other dishes and snacks. Several entrées, fresh local products, homemade desserts in a cozy dinning room where we will make everything in our reach for you to feel at home.
Had dinner here with a group of friends (20 of us) in October. From the outside, this place doesn't look like much, but once you enter, it is as if you are in Mr. Rabino's home. He and his staff take fabulous care of your every need. We had four different wines and multiple courses all served "family" style. Started with appetizers of octopus, rabbit, mushrooms and bread/cheese. For the main course we had cod with tomato bread puree and pork with sweet potato puree. Desserts included raspberry ice cream and cake, rice pudding and other assorted cakes. The highlight of the evening was an acapella concert by a local ladies group. Don't miss this authentic Portuguese experience!!On behalf of Daurindo Rabino, my father and owner of the restaurant, I would like to thank you for your kind revue. He was absolutely thrilled to have received your group and your words brought him great joy because he indeed intends that every costumer is received as a friend. Once again, thank you very much.
