Things to do in Estremadura
Went with family for dinner we had 3 different pizzas all very good and with lots of condiments. The prices are fair and it has also fries and nuggets for the kids
Even for a meal that unfortunately proved too fast, there was time to enjoy a nice steak with Portobello mushroom, watercress cream and a delicious appetizers. Attentive and friendly service. Must return with time to enjoy the full meal.

Service very slow and there were only 10 people total in restaurant including 3 children!!! Food served at best tepid if not stone cold. Bacalhau (cod) which was meant to be oven cooked was served, within 10 minutes after wrong order served, cooked at end cold in middle and had obviously been microwaved. All very sad as flavors good and presentation pretty. Vitello also served cold! Other pork dishes and chips served cold. Sent back and returned microwaved. Decided not to have desert or coffee as so disappointed. I spoke to the owner and a small reduction on the cost was made. Views of salinas are stunning. Will we go back ... Sadly not to that restaurant :-(
From start to finish, everything was perfect. Ambience was inviting and romantic, service on point and the food. We were craving a good steak, which was cooked to perfection. But we also had excellent appetizers. The oyster mushroom and the âAreiliaâ ,(sp?) are a must. Everything was presented so beautifully and the flavors were spot on. This Chef is so talented and we wish him much success. Muito Obrigada!

It is a road side restaurant, with fantastic meat sandwiches, each one at the price of 2â¬/3â¬! Nice and efficient staff. If you are passing at N1, it worths the stop.

Here everything is good, but the clams...wow... there are no words to describe it. This is not a sea food restaurant, but it is fabulous the the quality of the clams and actually not only that but most of the food. The owner is very friendly and I recommend a visit.

Restaurante tipico . Cozinha Tardicional Portuguesa restaurante familiar adega tipica vinhos regionais
Seen from outside this restaurant is not really inviting. We actually hesitated before entering. However, inside (at least in the room where we were seated, there is also another one) the atmosphere is quite charming with an abundant decoration of local items and pictures. The reception is friendly and the service throughout the meal was professional.Very early I encountered a major problem. The wine list (book) is about the longest one I have ever seen in Portugal. After long reading and a waiter who came along a couple of times I decided for a Pedro, Casa Cadaval. First impression was OK but strangely the wine weakened during the meal. Next time (because there will be a next time!) Iâll have to continue my study of the wine listâ¦Not the traditional olives as starter but a wide selection of mini plates. We limited ourselves to the pigsâ ears and squid. Other starters looked also tempting but we still had a meal to goâ¦My main dish was an in wine marinated goat: excellent! Only miner points were the vegetables which were cold and as often is the case in Portuguese restaurants the meat contained many bone splinters. My wife took boar on a hot stone. Tasted also excellent. To end on a healthy note we choose as dessert the fruit selection instead of the sweets selection. Very original presentation of 9 different fruits in 9 glass bowls. You can mix and serve yourself. Trying several fruits I fell for the âpêra bêbedoâ or drunken pear. As always I ordered a coffee to end and surprise, surprise it came with a large selection of sweets⦠which was very much appreciated (there went the effect of a healthy dessertâ¦).Overall a very enjoyable meal in a nice restaurant. Recommendable!

This restaurant came highly recommended and it delivered on most fronts.Staff were attentive and informative, with a good knowledge of the menu.Tables were well arranged and the decor clean and tidy.We had the prawn rice for 2, which was lovely and codfish which wasnât quite so good, followed by desserts which were great. The house red was excellent.Prices were very reasonable 45⬠inc. the tip for 3 people. So all considered worth the visit, if you are in the Alcobaça area, we live 45 mins away, so not worth traveling past lots of other really good restaurants, to get there.BeeseyDave
