Management unappoligitic told me that I could check out if I wanted but would not get money back Front Desk staff lied -- told me room would be serviced and it was not. There is not email to provide heads-up or I would have canceled my reservation. Restaurant and Bar not open --

Reviewed By jj22001I stayed here for a couple of days when I needed to be close to the Naval Hospital. You get what you pay for. Cleanliness in the rooms could definitely be improved. It smelled faintly of smoke in the lobby/hallways however my room was smoke free. Beds are comfortable. Front desk staff are friendly and the woman at breakfast is an absolute joy. Very few people were masked (guests or staff).

This independant hotel is located in Old downtown Portsmouth, VA. Walking distance to Naval Hospital, Ferry,broadwalk, restaraunts, Ntelos Pavillion, we are 30-45 min away from Virginia Beach. Our rooms features flat screen Tv, self control a/c, private bathroom, wi-fi , seasonal pool,room front parking. 24/7 open.wake up call service available, room service available upon request.

Reviewed By linwoodw630The worst possible hotel stay in my life. Walls filthy, fridge didn't keep ice frozen, spiders, ants, and roaches. Staff was rude totally unprofessional. I was bitten a spider and the staff response was " How do I know you were bitten here. Do you have proof" I showed him a picture of 2 spiders I killed. The response was "This doesn't prove you were bitten". People moving all night back and forth. Obvious crack hotel. Staff had music blaring in his vehicle all night. Loud argument transpired between guest and staff because there was no cable in the room. Which resulted in police being called. Unsupervised children running and playing day and night. The policy for fresh towels and washcloths was to put the used ones on the ground outside your door in the morning. Staff constantly antagonizing guest and speaking in an aggressive and threatening manner. Banging on the door in the morning screaming "Check out time ". All the linens were dingy almost gray in appearance. I am warning you Do Not Stay in this hotel. Not worth the price or risk. Riverwalk should remove its name from this fleabag, trashy and crack house hotel.
